Bob,
Kane can't play with the Wolves, his contract doesn;t allow it except under special circumstances (i.e. the London Knights have been eliminated)
Toews can play with the Wolves, he was a college guy and we all know you can't play college after professional.
If the Knights are awful, and the Black Hawks want to be underminded, they could send Kane to the Wolves if the rest of the league agrees to it. (The Leafs had to go through a similar thing with Tlusty, the CHL/NHL agreement doesn't permit players of junior age (who's rights are owned by a Junior team) to play in the AHL - it's the Joe Cirella rule)
I just re-read your response. If the Chicago Wolves are the last of the three teams standing, then yes, Kane can play for the Wolves (all entry level contracts are two way). Teams are permitted to call up juniors after their junior teams are eliminated. Technically, if Pittsburgh doesn't make the playoffs, the Penguins can send Crosby and Malkin to play for Wilkes-Barre this year - but that won't happen.

Well if you meant the Calder Memorial Trophy, rookie of the year, I think it's going to either Kane or Toews from the Blackhawks. I don't like the Blackhawks but I watched them make some stunning plays, I was really impressed. They will end up bringing exciting hockey back to Chicago, just like Crosby and Malkin did for Pittsburgh.

I shudder at the thought that some people dis regard and downplay the Calder cup. To those ignorant Hab fans that do not know what it is, and thise who downplay the AHL, the HAMILTON BULLDOGS(WHOWHOWHOWHO BULLDAWGS) won it last season.Cary Price, your Montreal Canadians goalie was a Hamilton Bulldog. WHO WHO WHO BULLLLLLDAWWWWWGGGGS! Stanley cup? way to early to tell.
