I've begun my drinking adventure after recently turning 21, however I have yet to find a beer that I really enjoy. I'm looking for something possibly sweet and not too hoppy or bitter. Any suggestions? Many thanks in advance.

Beer is definitely an acquired taste, so I would advise that you start with a light beer rather than a thicker, darker brew.
Rolling Rock is one of my favorite lighter beers, or look for a honeywheat pale ale.
For something sweet as you mention, there are lots of flavored beers on the market. And I'm not talking about winecoolers either! There are beers with hints of peach, strawberry or apricot in them. These speciality kind of beers though you can't usually find at your local supermarket. You'll have to look at a larger liquor store like Beverages and More. And they are more expensive than your regular beers--but so are imports anyway.

I don't think anybody likes beer at first, but it is probably one of the better "drunkeness" levels.
Try some Woodchucks Cider Beer, or any cider beer in general. There is a Apricot Weizen that is quite tasty.
*These are not girly drinks... well woodchuck almost is. I like the suggestion of the blueberry.
The point is to try a lot of things. Michelob, Natural Ice, Michelob Ultra, Stay away from that. Please.

Most beer drinkers start off with the same preference you have. Some move on. I didn't; I still like bock best of all, although wheat beer is good on a hot day, too.

Coors Light is like drinking alcoholic mineral water. Difficult to dislike, impossible to love.
For something abit more tasty, guiness is nice. Also the samuel adams seasonal offerings are good.
Also Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is supposed to be a tasty beer, but I can't say I've ever had it.

Try a pumpkin brew from Trader Joes' if you have one in your area, or Sierra Nevada, Samuel Adams, Pete's Wicked Ale, Pyramid -hefeweizen (Berkelyey, CA ).
Or goto a microbrewery in your town and ask the brewmaster about his products. He will be only too happy to help you out.

look for honey beer or blueberry flavor beer , just remember that some brands are better then others. beer is something you have to teach yourself to like, it takes time

I HATE beer, but am able to drink Dos X beer, very cold. ( 2 x's) Mexican beer.

If you're smart,then you'll stay away from alchohol.It's a gateway drug.Next thing you know you'll be shooting herion.I like Michelob Ultra.Have fun!
