I HAD A SIMILAR WATER PROBLEM. I CALLED THE CITY WATER DEPARTMENT. THEY CAME OUT AND TOOK A SAMPLE OF THE WATER FOR TESTING. THEY HAVE TO COME TO TAKE THE SAMPLE BECAUSE OF THE WAY IT IS COLLECTED.

IN THE MEAN TIME, IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE WATER, YOU MIGHT TRY LEAVING IT RUNNING FOR A MINUTE OR TWO BEFORE YOU COLLECT ANY FOR COOKING OR DRINKING, OR YOU MAY WANT TO USE BOTTLED WATER.

You can take a sample to the city health department, although there is usually a fee for that, but you get a chemical description of your water in a few days from a lab.
Have you thought about where you live? If you live in the city, the water is safe to drink and your green footprint less, but out in the country, it's possibly well water, and despite how refreshing we think they are, each usually has a different taste.Put a few drops of lime or lemon juice in each glassful just to get used to it.
And if it's really preoccupying you, ask your parents, or someone in the know.

well i think you should look on the internet for a water tester which is used to test the stuff in the water(many scientist use it)or ask someone else u know.

Call or e-mail your local water company. They normally have exact data what's in your water and if it's drinkable.
Sometimes they even give out the data online.

You should be able to get a water test kit at an Agway store.

Make someone else drink it first, and wait a few hours to see what happens!
