For christs sake, what is with all the Anti American liberals whining over 4000 deaths of the US forces and using that to dishonor our country. I know every death is hard, but why are the liberals using that to try and make us loose the war. If for say we do pull out(retreat) then we will be dishonoring each of the soldiers lives that were lost fighting. What do you think that every soldier that died would want? for one, not to see the US defeated and running away because that would mean they would have fought and died for nothing.
And if in our near future if a war with china broke out and the liberals are still whining about 5 to 10 thousand deaths, the chinese will not care if 10 million of them die. honestly if the US continues to go on this route of being unwilling to continue a war over casualties then we can not be classified as a true world power. so what, we won WWI and WWII. that was years ago. whats the point of being proud if we loose every other war, its disgraceful.

The difference between every other war since WW 2 is that they were not wars. The men and women who died their were brave Americans and I salute, respect and honor their sacrifices, so before you flame me hear me out.

Wars are fought to win. You kill the enemy. When German was being bombed in WW2 citizens and solders were both killed. We had a simple direct plan.

What we did NOT have was world opinion. Which is what we have today. IF we were to cut our troops lose and tell them to END THIS WAR and then not say a damn word on how they did it, the war would be over by now.

When the opinions of non combatants are interjected, and solders have to worry about the repercussions of their decisions, that is not a war. That is a political police action.

MacArthur, Patten, Rommel, Gudarian, Alexander, Sherman or any of the many other great generals who knew that war meant death and that to prevent death you kill ALL the enemies, would agree this is not war, but a political police action.

War means death. No bleeding heart liberal will ever understand that until their family is being butchered by the enemy.

Freedom is not free.

From 1993 to 2001, there were 7,500 active duty deaths. From 1980 to 1984 there were 9,555 active duty deaths. I can recall losing the equivalent of one squad of Marines to traffic accidents on board Camp Pendleton in 1976 in a 3-month period. I cannot recall any outrage being expressed over those deaths. Not one march or rally. Not one sign of protest.
What bothers me the most about the "Crocodile Tears Brigade" is that none of them would have given a member of the armed forces the time of day on September 10, 2001. But, they share an award with the "Petey Patriot Platoon" whose hypocrisy shows through with their sudden support for the troops when they wouldn't even recognize their existence before the attack on America either. A pox on both of them!

there was a time when battle was far away from peoples home, they fought in open field..(watch Braveheart, Mel Gibson). Nowadays bomb are dropped right into a city. Yes, the terrorists are among civilian but that is the job for special forces right? they sneaked into the city.. why need a bomb? No casualty please...

OK this is all well and great, but could you tell the people that are dead and dying because of Iraq a good reason why they are fighting and dead? What is the official reason this week?

I think it is a greater dishonor to misuse and send the heroes of America to die for no reason.

Since when did criticizing the Government become anti-American?

its not true that to win a war people must die. Sun Tzu, the worlds greatest war stategist, said that the best commander can win a war with no casualties at all. he also said that war should be a last resort, and very few wars are made with that in made.

I read through your long rant, and the damnest thing - not a real question anywhere except the compulsory one in the title. What, aren't you sure your opinions are correct?

This isn't your ranting forum, go home and come back when you have a real question to ask, you twit.

*** the liberal tree huggers. this country would be screwed if everyone was spineless like them. tired of hearing everyone say that it is the american way to challenge the govt. i say put up or shut up. instead of running your mouths just to hear yourselves talk, say something that actually has some meaning and a course of action to improve the shortcomings or deficiencies.

I see it isn't a war until lives are lost and we measure the size of the war by the number of lives that are lost
