I think it is Selfish! Giving up a babys life when you could give them up for adoption and give them a full happy life!

they want to send those angels to heaven, and spend an eternity in hell. that's all there is to it. God, i wish there was no such thing as abortion.oh, and rape or incest is NOT an excuse. i know a lot of women who gave their babies up for adoption or kept their babies after being raped.

I myself feel that it is a woman's choice to do with her body what she wishes. I do not think that it is selfish when the mother of the child cannot support them, and sees an abortion as the only way out. Have you thought about those that are raped by a family member or a complete stranger? While I myself could never have an abortion, I feel that it is a woman's choice. Some woman do not see adoption as an option, especially in the inner-city, where I live, because the chances of these babies being adopted is not very good.

That is not up to you.
Hello abortion is legal. I am for abortion for many different reasons and even though i haven't had one if i did want one then i would not care what people like you think/thought.
I would have an abortion for the following reasons:
1)If i were raped
2)If the fetus had something horribly wrong with it and would only suffer a horrible life.
3)If my life were in danger and i was told i would die if i followed through with the pregnancy then i would abort because i would not want to leave my son motherless.
4)If i did not or could not handle another kid.
It is not your decision on why people have abortions. If you seem to think it is murder then how can you support the troops that kill people everyday? Abortion is a medical procedure not shooting someone in the head like the troops do.
It comes down to this:
My Body
My Sexuality
My Uterus
My Vagina
My Morals
My Life
My Choice
Not Yours
If it was a baby then they would not call it a fetus. A fetus is not a living, breathing human being until it is born and breathing on it's own.

Well, what about if someone is raped? Should that person be forced to have a baby when she was raped, or through an act of incest? Try not to judge. There are a lot of people, young and old, who have been victims of rape and incest. try to put yourself in their shoes....I don't think, in that case, the answer is as clear, and easy, as just carrying a baby then placing it up for adoption. How do you know that the baby would have a full and happy life if it put up for adoption? Do you know how many babies are born crack addicted and will suffer the rest of their lives? Or what about the ones that never even make it out of the system? Or, how about the ones that make it out, only to be abused by their adoptive parents. what if the babys life, or the mothers life is in danger? Should someone to be forced to carry a baby when there is a good chance they could die from it? Or, what if the baby will likely be born severely disabled, as in a vegetative state? Should that baby suffer? The area of abortion is not as black and white as it seems. Some people will say that it doesnt matter, but not everyone is the same. Just because YOU wouldn't do it, doesn't give someone the right to condemn someone who does and to call them names. How godlike is that? Remember, thou shalt not judge. That is God's job, not ours. Interestingly enough, most people who are anti-abortion are also pro death penalty and pro war, so, tell me, how does that fit into the pro life movement?

You are right! Abortion is no different from taking a knife, going up someone, and stabbing them to death. Not trying to sound cold or anything but if someone is getting an abortion they might as well be doing that. The only reason someone should get an abortion is if them or their baby's life is in danger or if the baby has a very serious birth defect. Those are the only reasons. A fetus is still a human, it becomes a baby, then a toddler, and so on. If it is not aborted it will eventually become a person just like everyone else. I wish fetuses could talk then they could scream and cry and beg for mercy while being aborted. Maybe then the laws will change.

Do you really think that every pregnancy is happy?
Until you've been pregnant with a surprise baby, you can't really know what it's like. Until you're in that situation, it'll be selfish. When you're in that situation, it's going to be a way to avoid the stigma associated with unwanted pregnancies.
And as to your approach on abortion--what are you going to do about it? Preach about something you know nothing about? Try to get more rights for these mothers--more maternity leave, more welfare, better insurance coverage, more choices.

Adoption isn't always a viable option and there are medically necessary abortions and how about a baby that is the result of incest or rape? Abortion is a difficult legal and moral issue, simple solutions like simply making abortion illegal are not just, humane or practical.

well im pro-choice and have never been in the position of being in a situation of aborting or not.but some do it b/c they don't want to carry the baby for 9 months feeling guilty and ashamed.so instead they break a commandment.

because she doesn't want the baby. as simple as that. and even if she gave the baby up for adoption there would be all these procedures to go through and i seriously doubt a woman who wants an abortion would go through that kind of hassle. the main reason for women having abortions is to avoid inconvenience.
i may be liberal but i definitely don't support abortion.
