Yep, I was flying them by age 14, with a licensed pilot present of course.

I might survive. I'm not a pilot, and I don't have much experience, but I think as long as the helicopter itself was fine and the weather good I could make a survivable landing.

Yep cause I know the controls:
their is a cyclic stick between your legs that move the main rotor in all directions
their is a collective stick to you left it makes the bird rise and settle. then their is the foot pedals that control the direction and the spin of the bird
the fuselage that is the body, will try and catch up with the tail, to stop this you need the tail rotor, it is controlled by foot pedals.
the lateral, forward, and backward movements, are all made by the stick between your legs. To lift off, you need to pull up on the collective(to your left) then ease the cyclic center arm forward. one other thang to keep in mind. If the bird aint got the correct RPM it wont fly.

I could, but I don't really like to fly helicopters against airplanes - I'd probably survive, though.

In the two advertisement planes and advertisement helicopters once you get to cruising altitude you ought to visual show unit controls to ascertain each and every thing is unbroken and the aircraft or helicopter is flying without subject and confident it would desire to be uninteresting. you're able to desire to bypass to a flight college to try this. on the different hand in case you fly protection stress planes or helicopters that is going to likely be extra exiting than advertisement. for this you ought to develop right into a officer in even if protection stress branch you connect. your practise interior the protection stress is plenty extra advantageous and all paid for via the government. i'm hoping this helped and stable success ;)

Not sure - I could probably autorotate in an emergency, but that's about it. I know the theory behind flying one, but the coordination necessary to actually do so requires practice.
