No. They thrive in very hot climates. Your best bet would be to get your home treated by professionals who will use chemicals safe for your children. This way, if the problem is not resolved after the first process of treating, there is usually a guarantee to get rid of the problem and you can get it re-treated until they are gone. There are do-it-yourself flea bombs, but you have to re-use them a few times and they are not as effective.
Whoever exterminates can treat the bushes and outdoor area around your home as well.
If you want to get an idea of how big your problem is, take a white paper towel and put it down on the floor in one of your rooms and then see how many black specks (fleas) jump on it.

ive never heard that but it may but I dont see that working b/c fleas live in summer just fine even the hottest summers they survive so other solutions you need to vacum the entire house if you have a vac with bags empty bag to garbage and get out of house asap if you have the bagless suck up and dump outside........you want to wash all clothes and change sheets b/c you prob will have flea eggs hatching, shampoo carpets or steam too would help whatever vac may leave behind..............its not too hard just doing like a spring clean and eliminating flea eggs and all will be a great help. Then you could use bug bomb in individual rooms with door close away from children and adults and then open when its time to open and its no longer harmful then re vacumn room. They also have come out with spray ive seen it at bilo and walmart that is saft for kids and other pets and you can spray it on couches and clothes well pretty much anything even pets I dont think you should spray it on people but you get the idea

Absolutely not true! Infact, they live in hotter temps that 90 degrees.
You will need to remove the dogs, give them full flea baths and start using a monthly flea medication (like Advantix or Frontline, see what's best for the area you live in). Then, spray all carpets and areas where the dogs hang out, then flea bomb your house (PetCo or any pet store sells them). You need to leave your house for 3 or so hours while bombing. Then, when you come home just vacuum and wipe down surfaces. You should be fine then as long as you keep treating your dogs monthly. Good luck.

I live in flea heaven and it is often well over 100 degrees and pretty consistently in the 90s so I can tell you, no.
You kill fleas with insecticides -- use them on the environment and animals. You can fog you house with a good indoor fogger that states on it that it kills larvae and hatching fleas up to like three months or so -- can't recall the brands but they are good and work well... at the same time do your yard and have your animals done -- we always repeat in two weeks, except for the indoor fogging, and then utilize things like Advantix or Frontline on the dogs and that usually keeps the fleas well under control.

nope. Old wives tale I'm afraid. Depending on what you can afford and what sort of money you're wanting to spend, you could call out some professionals (details will be found on Google or Yellow Pages) However you could just buy an insecticide aerosol spray specificall for this purpose. Get in touch with you vets or the pest control officer at your local council for product information. There really isn't a natural way of dealing with them I'm afraid but I'm sure that a friend or relative will offer to help out looking after your LO. Hope this helps xx

No this isn't true .. if not fleas would die on the bodies they bite! Naturally there isn't much you can do but I do suggest flea bombing your house. There are sprays you can buy at veterinary clinics or pet stores that will eliminate the fleas and kill them off surfaces. I also suggest washing all your sheets and couch covers and everything of the like and cleaning your carpet after you flea bomb to get rid of any dead fleas or eggs.

90 degress Fahrenheit? No, but it might kill you. 90 degrees centigrade might kill the fleas, but will definitely kill you.
You can get flea sprays to treat your house with! Not the ones from pet stores, they don't work. Get one from a vet. You may need to spray twice, 10-14 days apart to get any newly hatched flea eggs. Heating up your home will only encourage flea eggs to hatch.

I've never heard of this as a way of getting rid of fleas. I think you should call an exterminating company and ask them if they have a way of spraying or bombing your house to kill the fleas safely.

This is Definitely not true otherwise there would be no need for medicines. also if they are outside and in places it get HOTTER THEN 90 then we wouldn't have any fleas. Try the natural flea medicines its better for the animals and kids.
