Just be direct, but casual. "Want to go out sometime?" It won't seem desperate, just act is if it's ok if he says no.

well have u even talked to him or tried flirting. does he repond the way you want him to? then just simply ask him a party for whatever. as this is your first time, try group dates first. it would take the stress off for you and him. good luck!

This is not hard...
Plan where you want to go..
"would you like to go to________ with me on________?
There is nothing desperate about it, you are asking a straight-forward question....
If he says yes you say "OK, it's a date..."
If he says no you say " OK. maybe some other time..."
This is the standard way to ask for a date....

well just straight up ask him. but be yourself. if your not yourself then it'll never work. besides if he turns you down, your too good for him.
