A likely place would be a book that detectives keep, that has mug shots.
Another would be with your booking information.

Your mug shot is public record. You, or anyone for that matter can pay a clerk fee, it's 10 bucks in this town, and get the complete arrest record.
It's called the freedom of information act.

If it happened in Columbus jurisidiction, contact the Sgt in the ID Bureau or the detective who was assigned to the case.

You can go to HQs on Marconi Blvd and ask one of the officers at the information desk on the first floor ~ I'd advise trying to go during the week in the morning when you can talk with someone who has been there for a while and would have more knowledge (I know the ones who work there). They can tell you what floor to go to and who to talk to. I'm not sure they give copies of the pictures out to others but you will have to talk with them and see what the policy is.

You might also try writing them and see if someone will respond and tell you if you can get a copy. Scroll down below Chief Jackson's picture and you will see a link to email them.

If it happened in Franklin County jurisdiction, contact a detective at the county offices on Front St and see if they can help you. If it happened in one of the suburbs (Bexley, Dublin, Westerville, Grove City, etc), you will have to go to their offices or call them for info. Check the phone book or the white pages for their phone numbers and addresses.

I am not sure they will give you anything but the police report, but the arresting agency would be the place to start.

YOU WILL FIND IT IN THE DEPARTMENT MUG SHOT FILE, IN THE ARREST AND BOOKING PACKET ON YOU IN CASE YOU GET ARRESTED AGAIN.

ALTHOUGH A MATTER OF PUBLIC RECORDS, CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, WE DO NOT DISTRIBUTE MUG SHOTS FOR THE ASKING TO INDIVIDUALS.
PRIVACY ACT PROTECTS YOU AFTER RELEASE FILE IS FILED.
