I didn't read the link, but i'm thinking if he wants to leave a lasting legacy, he probably will attack Iran. Let's hope it doesn't spark a larger conflagaration. But on the other hand, can we risk a nuclear Iran, an Iran that has the stated intent of wiping Israel off the face of the map? Hard questions.

Wow, an article on the Internet in an area called 'Marxist Thought on-line". You do know that Marxism is a bad idea, and not exactly supportive of American life? Don't you?

If you believe everything you read on the Internet: America will land it's 3rd manned spacecraft on Mars late Sunday afternoon. This group of people and supplies will continue building the American Mars Base Alpha.

There, quote that as proof of mining operations on the moon.

You need a serious reality check.

Well....if you read it on the Internet it must be true, right? This does not appear to be even a remotely reliable information source. A conflict with Iran has never been out of the question. They (the Iranians) would regret it quickly though. Their leader Mr "Imadinnerjacket" isn't holding any important cards. He's just making noise at the moment.

If he doesn't, then some leftist, peace-loving hippie Democrat is going to get in and pull us out of Iraq, which will cause an even bigger mess* than what we have now. Then we'll be longing for the "Bush days".

*Once the US is out of Iraq, Muqtada as-Sadr and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - two Shi'a Muslim leaders in Iran (though as-Sadr is technically from Iraq) are going to rush in and take the place, using the fact that the government is in disarray to their advantage. When they take control of Iraq, they'll use Iran's oil money to buy control of Jordan (if they even need it), and from Jordan (or Iraq, if they don't get Jordan) they'll launch their nuclear missiles (Ahmedinejad's claim of "We're only using nuclear power for energy for our cities" is about as true as the movie "Beauty and the Beast") into Israel, and then we're all screwed.

Either this or Saudi Arabia - as well as most of the Arab Gulf (which is predominantly Sunni Islam) - will see what Iran is trying to do and counteract against them, plunging the region (as well as the West, who relies on the region for oil) into World War III.

Iran - one of the largest exporters of oil - will take the US and our allies (which could be very very few in a small number of years) off the list, and the US economy will be ground to an aggravating halt, making 1929 look like the "good old days."

Has to be true, just like everything else on every single site.

Didn't you know that? There is a site. It has something on it. Therefore it must be true! Thats how intelligent people think!

Now run along and don't hurt yourself....

because he is a lame duck, he has nothing to lose
thinking is: if can't actually provoke Iran into saying and making threatening moves, then i can show america how dangerous Iran really is and how i right all along.

if we can get into a physical conformation with Iran within the next year, then americans will be forced to elect a president who is willing to fight a good fight, hence thinking that means a republican can win.

problem:
nobody wants to sacrifice their sons (and daughters) for the sake of the ego of the republican party. america will tear itself apart and eventually Iran will get together with North Korea (who has balls of steel that kim jong il), and we will be forced into believing we have to use nuclear weapons

i am starting to believe the mayan calendar was right and the world does end in 2012
