I assume you are going out of Floriday. The weather in Fl. may be quite cool. We did a cruise last winter and found very mixed weather. We had some really hot, sunny days and some cool, overcast, rainy days. The cooler days were welcomed because spending 7 straight days in really hot, sunny weather can be a bit much for the skin!
I know nothing of the ship you are on. However, we went on a ship that did a 30 minute explanation of how the ship works, engineering and all. My husband who is a engineer was so impressed by the safety features and state of the art technology. You will be fine.

We have cruised in January 2 times and will be again this coming January. The weather can be a little cooler (80's) and Flroida is in the 70's. We really enjoyed the weather since we are from Buffalo.
We have cruised Norwegian amd are cruising them again this year. We liked our experience a lot. We liked the freestyle dining which allows us to eat whenever we like.
You will enjoy yourself. Just go with an open mind and always remember that you are on VACATION!

i recently (in July) went on a cruise to the Caribbean and it was really fun. i went on a Princess cruise and it went to Bermuda, st. Thomas, San Juan and Turks and cacos. i left from new york and on the first two days of sailing it was really windy and cool, but once we got to the Caribbean, it was really warm and sunny, even though it rained one of the days. depending on the length of your cruise, you should bring one heavy fleece sweater, and two or three light ones, 2 pairs of jeans, a pair of sweatpants and lots of shorts and t-shirts. as for footwear, you should bring a pair(or two) of running shoes, a couple pairs of flip flops or sandals. and as for the sinking part, the is absolutly no way that it will sink, and in any unfortunate case, there are many lifeboats and at the begining of the cruise, they should go over all of the safty proseures and tell you what to do in the event of an emergency.
Hope you have a great time on your cruise!!!

The weather on the islands will probably be in the 80's. Fla could be anywhere from 60s-80. You probably will want to bring a light jacket because it may get a bit cool in the evenings especially on the first and last day (when you are still near fla).
