Those whose intents are to serve a God they love will engage in more charitable acts even at cost of time and moeny to self. There are unethical people making up their own religions for interest of self profit (scientology, cults, etc). Organized religion isn't one homogenous entity; but rather it is heterogenous in nature as it involves very disparate groups with different purpose and beliefs.

Not at all. Most church's give a percentage of there donations and collections to multiple charities and constantly struggle to make there own bill payments. A lot of churches have volunteers that take care of there cleaning, landscaping, and soup kitchens or food pantries. These people do this work out of the goodness of their hearts and don't get paid anything and the church still struggles. Of course there are bad apples in every basket so to speak. There's no need for a million dollar building to worship in.

Yes. Just ask the widow and children of the recently passed Rex Humbard. He died most comfortably as a preacher and fleecer or his followers. He passed the wealth on to his wife and children naturally. Thanks mostly to the fixed incomes of gullible senior citizens. Do those senior citizens differ from those that are duped by bogus moneymaking schemes? Those duped by those who promise to do repairs to their homes? No. The Rex Humbard Ministry turned out to be a legal Con Game. I know firsthand. It's one my dad endorsed. He worked there and my sister and I were there often to see the Cons and Lies. Maybe that's why my father is what he is today - Full of Con Games and Lies. He hates me and wants me to suffer because he hates my mother (his ex-wife) . I couldn't turn against my own mother like he wanted. As a result, he not only made my mother suffer, but my sister and I. What kind of a Loving Father is that, may I ask? My mother is kinda flaky and flighty, but she is a good woman. My stupid dad's parents loved her to death. Mom is a hard worker, feisty, cute, funny as hell, stubborn yet means well. Anyone that knows her, knows her personality. We've had so many differences but she is still and always be one of my favorite people.

Why do you think there's so many of them!@!! Have you seen the Vatican? People want to beleve that there is hope in the church because they beleive in the Savior! Well, the Savior's real, but the lies of satan cominmg forth from the mouths of lyng preachers are just as real!!! The True HOUSE OF WORSHIP OF OUR FATHER YAHWEH will not be a house brimming with the wealth of man!!! & the massage will not be some 'feel good' message that everyone wants to hear. The doctrine of "just believe" is a LIE!!! We must also OBEY!!! OBEDIENCE TOTHE LAWS OF YAHWEH IS THE EVIDENCE THAT WE LOVE HIM!!! Heb.10:16-17

YA THINK?????? Church is defined as two or more people gathered together in the name of god. I'm sorry but you dont need to collect $$ from your loyal followers to build a $10 million crystal cathedral to worship god. Especially if it happens to be the same god that lets children get raped and sold on the international pornography market. I am not going to give any $ to that guy or am I going to follow him.
Next on the list of profitable businesses are privately owned prisons. that is a pretty good racket too.

It is an extremely profitable business. Organized religion's job is to sell God and salvation to you and all of you pay loads of money for that salvation.

in case you are trying this, you're stepping over the limitations of the separation of church and state. although, any church that backs a toddler-kisser or political party with money must be seen to be meddling interior the government and subsequently taxed. In those circumstances, they choose some great reward of church/state separation yet not one of the common jobs.

Ever heard of Baker? Crystal Cathedral? Robertson? Swaggart? The list is impressively long.

religion and the charities...

the best news about that is that the government is going to produce taxs that will work with buisnesses so that they will be able to see tax as a benifit,

really begins to seem like the - us and them - of a science fiction novel doesnt it.
