yes it should work. SATA 2.5 thats what your supposed to look for. So yea it should do the job

as long as it runs at 5400rpm then yes it should be fine, you should always take alot of care when buying hard drives for your ps3 make sure when you have it, it is exactly what you ordered. should be a serial ATA 2.5" running on 5400rpm .
