bad, not at all. 3200 cals should be about the average caloric intake for an active 150 lb male with average body fat.

Wow, you're a pretty active 15 year old. My son is the same way. I would say that eating that many calories with the activity you have listed is a bit too much. I think I read somewhere that Shaq takes in about 3400 calories a day, and think about how many calories HE must burn. I'm just assuming that at your age, you're probably doing all of this activity b/c of some sporting activty & therefore want to maintain your current weight.

Regardless, the best thing would be to try to figure out how many calories your actually burning with your current activities. If you want to lose weight, take in few calories. If you want to maintain your weight, take in about the same as you're burning. A good website for an activity calorie counter is: http://www.caloriesperhour.com

Good luck.

Hell no buddy, your metabolism is so fast at your age, you could take in 5,000 calories and you'd be fine. Just stay away from junk food and try to eat healthy foods.. The reason you can eat so many calories is because along with your younger, faster metabolism, your working out and burning up your bodies energy at an accelerated rate, and what your body puts out has to be replaced.. Don't be worried at your age about counting calories, carbohydrates, etc. When you see this all over the media, it's for adults with slower metabolisms due to aging, that are trying to prevent weight gain, or are trying to lose it. So have fun, eat healthy, and keep active, good luck..

The amount of calories a person takes in depends a lot on their lifestyle. If you are taking in that many calories, but still maintaining your weight, then you're fine. But if you stop exercising, you must decrease your calorie intake.

i think you may be taking in more calories than you are burning... it really depends on how your body is reacting to this. Are you gaining weight? Are you LOSING weight? if you are staying the same then you are taking in as much as you are burning, but if you are gaining it might be too much.
You can always talk to a trainer about this:-)

Unless you were born with a really high metabolism, NO. And, actually, the more you condition yourself, the less your body has to work (works less because it's conditioned) if you understand what I mean...

caloric intake depends on execise and how active you, ..... it seemes that you are pretty active, so i'd say it is okay but that also depends on how big you are ( i.e. height and size)
