"Diet" food would be the egg whites. Although eggs are full of good protien, all the protien is found in the whites, and the yolk is full of fat and cholesterol. If your looking to bulk up, then I would say eat the boiled eggs, but if you're looking to trim down, go for an egg white omelette.

An egg contains approx 7 grams of protein. The white has about 4 grams of protein while the yolk around 3 grams. Although the yolk is full cholesterol and fat, it also contains vitamin D which is essential for calcium absorption.

If you're a very skinny person, consuming the yolk will help you add some much needed body mass. Once you've achieve the desired body weight or muscle mass that you desire, you should cut down on the yolk and start eating more egg whites.

You don't have to totally avoid the yolk, protein only does not equal hard muscles.Remember the yolk has vitamin D plus the extra calories can also help maintain muscle mass.Consume say 4 egg whites ( add more if you wish ) + 1 whole egg = 23 grams of protein = 1 of the many steps to achieving hard muscles.

The whites are a good diet food High in protein but fairly low in fat and calories, but the yolks are a terrible diet food. If you are trying to bulk up should shouldn't worry alot about cals because you need as much energy as possible to lift. So take in alot when bulking up but then cut out the fat to get cut up! P.S. Whey protein is your best bet that is affordable.

Eggs are bad for you because you are getting all the hormones and steroids they give the chickens. They are also fattening. The egg whites are too. But don't get me wrong, I use eggs when I have to, but whenever I can, I use egg whites. Egg whites are better for you than egg yolks, but are still bad.
