First let me say I do have an appointment with my doc, but sadly it isn't for another 2 weeks.

Now my problem is this burning pain in one spot in stomach. Almost as if someone had a dull round object but pointy object, pushing, turning, and ripping it in one spot in or on my stomach (not abdomen). This happens often after I eat anything with season or flavor, even mashed potatoes with butter. So I just eat bread, cold plain cereal, and carrots. This has gone on for a few weeks and seems to be getting worse.

I also sometimes get minor and temporary relief from a carbonated drink. I know this is not gas or heartburn and pepto or pepcid, tums etc does not help.

My question is has anyone out there experienced this or maybe have a clue as to what the h3ll it is? Like I said, I will be seeing my doctor in 2 weeks and going to the ER is out of the question. Thanks!

Ahhhh the "Doctor" is in the house !!!!

The symtoms you speak of could indicate 1 of 3 things...

First:
Maybe a "hernia" is one answer...if so , a "blowout patch" is needed to rectify the problem. That means minor surgery.

Second:

A "virus" could be present.... The fix is the prescription use of "Biaxcin" to kill the virus over a period of time, usually 2-3 weeks......The only drawback is everything you consume in foodstuff will taste salty......

Thirdly:

"Stress" can raise holy hell with your body also....If that is the problem then VENT your frustrations at the onset....Tension will blow your mind away at the same time !!!!!!

GOOD LUCK-----remember there are a few good doctors out there, but "All" did not graduate at the top of their class !!!!

My problem years ago was the virus.................now I eat anything and everything I love.....

People with heartburn and ulcers usually experience medium to severe pains from drinking soda drinks, which in your case offers relief. So I do not think you are experiencing reflux or ulcer.

If the pain is in the area where your intestines are located, and keeping in mind the relief you get from carbonated drinks (which sometimes help with digestion due to their acidic nature), the problem may lie in yor small intestine or. There maybe indigestion or lack of an enzyme or secretion of some sort which causes spot pains.

As a friend has also pointed out, it may also be a bladder (not kidney) stone. Such pains related to stones are usually very sharp and painful. You may ned to drink a lot of water to have the stone move out. A simple sonogram can show the stone if present.

As you're here looking for answers, I will not conceal this: if you have bladder stone problems, you may need to wait a long time, sometimes more than 3 months for the stone to come out and the process is painful. But there is medication that will ease the pain and the process so don't panic.

Hope you get better soon!

It definitely sounds like an ulcer, try using an antacid until you get to your doctors appointment.
