First of all, if you'd just be intellectually honest with yourself you'd probably find the answer on your own. The Bible was not written by a "couple of men." Its 66 books were written by 40 divinely-inspired authors over a period of 1,500 years.
Just given the technology during that time, it would be impossible for so many writers, many of them from vastly different eras and backgrounds, to coordinate such a collection of books. Yet, they nonetheless coincide perfectly.
Despite different writing styles, the message is consistent. Many historical events overlap, creating a seamless timeline. More recent books cite the older ones, sometimes without the author personally knowing he was doing so; he was being guided by the hand of God in what he was writing.
The Bible itself states that "All scripture is inspired by God... (2 Timothy 3.16)," and "...that no prophecy of scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1.20-21)" God is telling us He's the author of this book.
To quote a source I just googled: "The Bible also validates its divine authorship through fulfilled prophecies. An astonishing 668 prophecies have been fulfilled and none have ever been proven false."
I'm not sure if you're Muslim or not, but every Muslim I've ever spoken with has told me they study the Torah, the Gospels, and the Koran in conjunction. They have all told me that they believe all books are from God. The main difference is that they believe Christ was merely a prophet and not the Messiah. So, I don't know who you're speaking for; even the Muslims believe in the divinity of the Bible.

"Look at the koran for instance, it was sent straight from god to prophet muhammed. Everyone memorized the verses that were sent by muhammed so there was no way that it could be edited."
You've never actually read the history of the compilation of the Qur'an, have you? It was put together based on verbal testimony and scribblings numbering over 300,000 separate pieces...well over a century after the man died. It was edited by necessity; one of the men compiling it even said he threw out 2/3rds of the pieces he was handed; THAT'S EDITING!

interestingly, Mohammed gave no indication in his writings as I read them that either the old or new testament were corrupted.
In fact he put himself in considerabloe dilemna since he told Jews they should check thier Torah to see what he was saying was so and CHristians should check the gospel to see the same.
Mohamed ironically could not check himself and could not write it as he was illiterate. It would have been written down by his followers who as you say are fallible at best. He dictated them to followers and they by memory of he or they or some combination got written down.
and here is a kicker. AND ironically several verses in the Koran were aborogated by the Koran... revised and ammended. I would be interested in hearing your response to why that is not a corruption Salmon Rushke did not make up the phrase the satanic verses. Those were the title of some verses that Mohamed had 'abrogated' from the koran. I would be interested in your view on that
Jesus back from the dead told his followers in Luke on the Emmaus road "foolish men and slow of heart NOT to believe all the prophets have written" It does not appear Jesus sees eye to eye with you or Mohammed truth be known

The people who believe that the Bible is the Word of God find the Quran to be primitive and corrupted. God is the author of the bible through the inspired prophets.
Objective scholarship on the Quran points to multiple editors and even multiple authors of the quran over a period of time.

First of all, more then a 'couple of men' helped write the Bible. Second, if God had them write the book; why would he let them become corrupted. He wouldn't have chosen them to write parts of the Bible since He would've known they were going to mess it up. Third, what if Muhammad was corrupted? What if the people memorized the verses wrong? We believe the Bible, because it is straight from God's mouth. Learn more about the topic you are inquiring about. Don't put it down if you don't know much about it.

Of course bits and pieces of the bible have been corrupted. It was written by several, edited by several, revised by several, etc. That is why any believer in the bible should also believe in personal revelation. By that I mean that anyone who reads the bible should pray to understand it. They shouldn't listen to what someone else tells them it means. People should figure that out on their own. After all, if God could inspire men to write the bible, can't he inspire his children today to understand the bible?

All the religious books have been corrupted to a certain extent as soon as the ideas god gave to men were written down, they were subjected to that particular persons own viewpoint, translation or whatever so I suppose then they thought they'd fill the books out a bit to make them weighty, even though god's only intention was,and still is,that he loves us.No punishments,No hidden agenda..just pure unconditional love. x

I totally agree. That is why I am sort of in my own type of religion right now. Basically all that people should do enough work for the equivalent reward and be good. Just follow good morales and principals, and any deity shouldn't have a problem with you.
