My best mate has been seeing a guy on and off for over 6 years now. The thing is they have never been a proper item because of restrictions on their relationship due to the fact that he is sikh. They started off as really good mates and quickly they became closer, but once they became close he became abusive and violent. The strange thing is, is that he is lovely to her when they are together on their own, they have been separated now for a year, but have still remained friends. He phones her frequently and both parties have admitted that they cannot have a relationship together, yet he is jealous if he see' s her with anyone else and tries to kiss her when he does see her, yet just last night my mate walked into a pub where he was drinking with his mates, and when he saw her he began to shout in her face and told her to leave!! But after all this she will still talk to him! and he just carries on making her feel like she has done something wrong, like he is too good for her!

She should stopping playing like she is powerless. From the discription sounds like your friend has the usual insecurities we all face, and this how she deals with it. SOOOO unless you know a better way to tell her to live her life, leave it be.....
