On another question like this, one poser said: "James is saying that in the eyes of other people, we appear saved because they can see works, not our faith. But works don't save. God says faith alone to save.
Otherwise you contradict Ephesians, Romans, and the entire New Testament."
I say he is totally wrong. What say you?

Just one place - where it tells us that this modern tradition of men is unbiblical. (James 2:24)

Romans 3:28 is a key verse in the differences between traditional Protestants and Catholics. You will notice that Paul says a man is justified by faith (pistei in Greek). When Martin Luther translated the letter to the Romans into German in the sixteenth century, he added the word alone —but alone is not in the original Greek text. The phrase "faith alone" does occur in the New Testament: one time, in James 2:24. There the inspired apostle denies that justification is from faith alone. Let me quote it: "You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone."

Haha! It only appears in the context of NOT faith alone! (James 2:24)
Luther added "alone" to Romans 3:28 but Protestants don't have that in their Bibles today. They still believe it however, even though that belief COMPLETELY contradicts James 2. Hmmm... either the Bible is wrong or the Protestants are... I wonder which I'll bet on.

James 2:26 as the body with out spirit is dead so also faith without works is dead.
So you can have all the faith in the world but if you are selfish and greedy it won't do you any good. The Pharisees were spiritual leaders,, they had a bible and were teachers of the bible. Yet Jesus condemed them as hopeless.

NOT BY FAITH ALONE..... they say it but when the truth hits them in the head they proclaim "by faith alone I am safe"..... "blind faith is all I need"
Just another example of them reading, hearing, preaching only partial truths that keep them blind... and stupid.
