Kia for a girl. If you can flip the puppy on their back and they don't struggle and cry to get up, they should be more submissive (but not always) and therefore easier to train because they wont challenge you as much. Watch them with their litter mates to see what their energy level is like. You want the one that wants to play with the other ones, but doesn't push everyone around. Make sure to give you pup lots of exercise, discipline and affection.

my poopers name is Blazey, but i call her Blaze, poops, poopers, bubs, buppy... haha i have her trained to pretty much anything actually... lol. i loveee her.

like most ppl said.. if they act more laid back as a puppy then they will be more laid back when they get older and they will be easier to train. Blaze was a rambunctious little squirt, but i trained her well i guess... everyone in my family works and goes to school and whatnot and she' s home most of the time by herself and is sooo good. she also knows a lot of commands.. so start that early bc they learn sooo fast when they are puppies--but you cant just start teaching them and stop... its like a continuous thing you have to do it everyday, just for like 5 min but you have to do it. Give him/her a snack when they get it right and praise them too, so they understand and always think its funn.. once they start 'getting it' only give them snacks once in a while and praise them by petting and patting and telling them how good they are otherwise they will start to expect a snack every time. [ok they still will, but this way they wont be spoiled]...oh! and spaying/neutering helps to calm them down too sometimes if they are too overly hyper all the time.

I hope this helped a little. I kinda got off on a tangent but oh well... lol. Oh and good luck!!! Puppies are sooo much funn.

Beans, Bosley, Nacho, Karma, Kiko, Pepsi, Indy, Roxy, or MuShu.
I also like names from nature like Cosmo, Chinook, Bonsai, Kuma, Topaz, and Thunder.

Don't get the puppy that sits in the corner when you come outside.
Don't get the over-excited puppy that runs up to you as soon as you come outside.
Don't get the one that is always showing signs of dominance over the group.
Get the playful puppy that walks over casually.

I'm horrible with names so take suggestions from other people :P

Magnolia if you get a girl.
Joe if you get a boy.

I wouldn't know about the training. Their personalities should already be formed though. Ask the breeder, which one is chill and which one is wild.

I know this sounds crazy...we just got a puppy and couldnt agree on a name( hubby, kids and I all had different ideas). So after a week, we each picked a name, wrote it on separate sheets on paper, folded, and tossed on to floor. The puppy sniffed them and picked up one and ran! That is what we named him. Charlie!

I have a girl boxer named Mercedes right now. I like to choose car names for my dogs for some reason. I also had dogs named Bently, Royce (Rolls Royce), and Lexus. I think it just depends on the dog, and the owner as well.

How about the cast of Les Miserables as names. The girls could have names like Kosette, or Eponine and Fantine. The males could be Javert or Valjean. You wanted unique, their you go. I named my dog Kosette or Kosi, and people love it.

How a puppy acts with his litter mates will show you its energy levels and how smart it is. Ask to take the pup you want to another room away from everybody else and see how it is with you. My puppy started play bowing at me and didn't mind being away at all. See how they react to you when you walk in. Do they all run up to you tails wagging, are they reserved and wait for their mother to check you over or are they quite timid. That is how they will be as adults.

My pups name is Devon.
I think naming after country's, cities or county's is good and won't sound too stupid or embarrassing. How about Shiloh/Neo?

How about Tintin's dog? "Snowy"

Well it will work only if it is a white dog.

If it is a German Shepherd or some other big dog, "Rambo" should work.

You can look up other names in the Internet.
