I like him, and he likes me.
He's very mature for his age, and we have the same beliefs.
We arent doing anything, and because of our religion we wouldnt do anything either. We are just talking...and yeah maybe kissing... but thats it?
However, my parents think its weird and people think its weird? But I dont feel unconfortable, and we are both happy.
I just dont know what to do, because we are both willing to wait till he gets older so that we can REALLY just tell everyone about it because we dont want problems.
PLEASE give me advice, and be honest, even if you think its gonna offend me.
I just need to know what people would think.
I mean, hes mature, kind, caring, and yeah, at times he might act imature about some things, but besides the fact that hes young, hes also a guy, and guys mature slower than girls....soo i dont know. Help me out!

You are legally an adult, he is not.....I don't think there is any question if this is right or wrong. Ever hear of the word "statutory"?

It really isn't a big deal its only 3 years....I mean when you are 23 he'll be 20 no biggie..If he is mature and you are mature and you guys both are on the same page then forget everyone else and what they are worried about. If you are happy then keep doing what you are doing..Your parents don't have to date him so why do they care...just be careful in terms of legal things that might get used against you and try to keep you two's business to yourself. Other than that enjoy each other and don't worry time will past quick next thing you know you'll be 25 and 22 lol GOOD LUCK!

You are 18. Your parents' disapproval is a NON-ISSUE! They have absolutely no legal or moral right to coerce you to do or not do anything EVER AGAIN!

Now regarding your bf's age, brush up on the age of consent laws in your state. Technically kissing someone under the age of consent is likely illegal. (Dating or being in a platonic relationship is NOT illegal!) Being a girl, being that he is at worst 1-2 years away from legal consent, being that you're just kissing and being that everyone who matters is fine about it including his parents you are VERY unlikely to run into any sort of legal trouble, but just in case, check what the legal situation is.

I went out with plenty of adult women when I was his age (and younger) and that was wrong, cause it wasn't as innocent as your situation, as long as you keep it that way, there doesn't seem anything wrong with it.

Oh yeah, ignore the "guys mature slower than girls" stereotype, not every guy is the same, and in a lot of ways, it's the opposite.

Well he should come over to your house often and give your parents a chance to get to know him better, if he avoids them then they will resent the relationship, but if he is confident and honest and decent and enters your house everytime you meet up they will grow a liking and respect for him because he isn't hiding, unless he really is an idiot

when I was 15 I had a girlfriend that was 18. you mostly just have to not care what other people think. you're 18 anyway. just tell your parents to get out of your business. you can date who you want as long as they make you happy.

Normal people will think it's a bit weird, but more mature people will see past that.

You find someone your own age before you end up in jail. His parent's cannot give him her permission to date or sleep with an adult. It's against the law.
