yes it does, but dont be an idiot and try it. I did , well actually i did for about 3 weeks, i lived on tea, 2 slices of cold meat a cup of slim-a-soup and 2 slices of bread a day. BUT Dont Do It For Christ Sake!!My Periods have stopped i had no energy and my hands were bright blue ALL THE TIME because i was so undernourished and i passed out. I lost about 2lbs every 3 days , but its not a good way to live, eat 1200 kcal a day and you will still lose weight .. about 3lbs a week. Please dont starve yourself, it's not worth it , I'm not trying to give yu ideas, so dont see this answer as that. Besides if Yo do ignore my advice and starve yourself, chances are you will go off the crazy diet and then binge like crazy... dnt doubt it, it will happen

You'll lose weight, but it's not the safest and best way to do it.. Your metabolism will simply slow down, and when you start eating again you'll gain that weight back twice as fast because your food will take so long to digest. If you stop eating, you better stop eating for good, because what you lose in that week will be gained back the next week when you start eating again. The best way is diet and exercise, and patience. My mother is an older gal and has struggled with weight for a long time, but throughout the summer and to October here she's lost over fifty pounds from simply taking a vigorous power walk for an hour and watching what she ate. She said it was tough at first but she said after the first month it turned into a habit. She used the "Weight Watchers" program to calculate her points.. I don't know every detail, but it's really worked for her, so I hope you check it out and hopefully it will work for you..

A better way to lose weight would be to eat lots of fruits, vegetables, and lean meat and fish, and not eat carbs (breads, potatoes) or sweets. Also go for long walks or start yoga to strengthen your body. Starving yourself hurts your body and you'll feel like crap. I weighed 145 and lost 20-25 pounds by eating healthier and exercising. Now I don't feel like a tub, but I still have some meat on my bones.

you would lost weight, depening on what you mean by starving. dont listen to these other morons, theyre probably fat. limit your calories to 1500 a day, eat only food who's caloric value you know and you will lose weight.

also, the idea that eating less slows down your matabolism is a myth.

ITS A MYTH< FATSOS!!!

what MAY happen, iof youre not careful, is that you'll end up eating more later, causing you to gain all your weightback. 1500 calories is a reasonable amount. if you eat lughter foods, you shouldnt have to go hungry.

and give me all the negatives you wwant, haters, I lost weight, ur guys are still fat. the onyl way to lose weight is to EAT LESS AND EXCERCISE and there's nothing you can do about it, fatties!

Starving yourself for a week would make you starve and become dehydrated. The majority of it will be water weight.

No, it doesn't. It just dehydrates you and then as soon as you drink something or eat you will gain all the weight back. You may lose 5 pounds during the week, but it will be all water.

I did that and it made me really sick and i had to go see docter so i advice you not to do it. Easyier way is eat less each day than you normally do, but for longer time stay a year, And eat healthy

No. It slows down your metabolism and your body holds on to everything it can. Eating healthy and exercising is the only true answer.
