sikhism is a different religoun but is a bit like hinduism. sikhs and hindus are originated from india. however, most muslim, hindu and sikh are asian so someone that doesnt know much about the religouns wont be able to tell the difference and what they are when they see an asian person.

No, but the vision of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, was to unite Muslims and Hindus in one religion, which didn't really work because most of Muslims and Hindus rejected the idea. Guru Nanak was born as a Hindu but read some Muslim scriptures, so his teachings are based on Hinduism but heavily influenced by Islam. From Islam he borrowed concept of One God, rejection of idolatry, abolishment of the caste system...
Sikh ritual slaughter (jhatka) is taken from Hinduism, so is prohibition of trimming any body hair, and some other elements.
5K were added later.

So, Sikhs are Sikhs, it's a religion of its own, but it is based on Hinduism and Islam.

They are neither, but if you mean racially, they are Indian, the same as Hindus. At least they started in India. The Punjab region to be exact. It's quite a nice religion actually.
