Men can go down the street topless, but if a woman does it she gets arrested or yelled at. Even when a woman wears a sports bra or tube top in public she often gets criticized, does anyone think that isn't fair?
and does anyone know why the law/people work that way, or any means of changing it?

Clothes are worn to protect our skin. Less clothing would mean more protection and that protection would be hair. If we have not invented the clothing our bodies will still be covered with fur, just like the prehistoric people. Because of clothing we evolved into what we are now.(less hair) Do you guys like to suck on hairy nipples? Guess not. So for the girls they don't like you to go bare your boobs, because hair would grow on them. If they let you go naked always, hair will probably grow.(on your nipples) So just keep it that way.

Frankly, I'm not too impressed with men going around without their shirts on either. But if we want to talk about fairness, would it be fair for the rest of us that DON'T want to see you half naked (not to mention those of us trying to teach our children modesty and self respect) to have to be subjected to that every time we went somewhere. We make these rules for the comfort of society as a whole, and a majority of us aren't comfortable with you being nude in public.

I'm a tree top lover! That would be great till the fascination wore off. Then it would be like watching men run around topless.
I love'em all, from A's to knees. They are all wonderful to hold, and love. So keep'em hidden so I can enjoy my old imagination.

Seems like Eve started it all when she was embarrassed and covered herself. It's taken 8000 years for some cultures to come out!

Personally, most men who regularly go topless are men I would prefer not to see topless! If everyone kept their shirts on, that would be just fine with me. To answer your question, it is a double standard, but what else is new?

its not actually illegal for women to be topless in most countries, its just a little bit taboo, except in america where you can buy a gun at 16 but if Janet Jackson flashes a boob live on TV everyone starts running around while waving their hands in the air an looking for someone to blame.

To be honest I don't want to see fat hairy men's upper bodies flopping around in the street anymore than I want to see women's boobs wobbling around. But think about it, how many car accidents would occur if women were to walk down the street naked, there would be a surge of car crashes don't you think?

I agree with you. That is not fair. The trouble is, the country is run by a bunch of stick in the muds who would get all nervous around all those bare boobs.

I agree, but boy let me tell you, if it were to happen, I might go crazy. I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I'd probably have to stay in the house.
