My daughter just start using the toilet and I would like to reward her each time she goes. I was giving her little pieces of candy but thats not good so I would like other ideas. I have thought of stickers but what is something else I could give her throughout the day thats not bad for her?

spend some mommy time with her every time she goes let her pick out a story book she likes and sit down and read it to her.

do a sticker chart with her and if she gets 5 stickers she gets a small toy that you bought at the dollar store. like rings or bounce balls.

or just make a big deal each time she goes then place 1 sticker a day on a chart then when she gets 5 she gets to go some place special with mom or dad. examples are the grocery store, the park, out to eat stuff like that.

You want something small and simple. You don't want ot be promising her a new doll (or whatever) every time she pees. With my son, I used smarties. Yes, it's candy, but it was only one Smartie each time, and the daily total was never high. If you're looking for non-candy idea, stickers are OK, but she might get bored with that, or you may suddenly find your house covered in stickers. Maybe you could try pennies (to be put in a piggy bank) but 3 is kind of youn to grasp the concept of money.

i did a sticker chart for my daughter and now i have started to train my second daughter. I don't think you need to give "things" as a reward you clapping and carrying on like a looney and showing her you are so proud of her is the best reward i believe to give them. Children are always looking for your approval and singing and dancing and carrying on will make her excited and laugh so she should do it again so she sees you acting this way. You may feel like a dik but hey thats the fun of it!!!

well omething else I could give her throughout the day thats not bad for her?- the child only understands immendiate rewards.
stickers work- praise works big time!
my kids who's 2.5yo is finally getting it.
he gets stickers all day long for months at daycare.
we use praise big time at home. we use the word bog boy diapers and baby diapers so he doesnt use the baby diapers any more. he knows that if he stays dry all day he can get a piggy back from dad at the end of day.
today he pooped in his diaper and then took it off and tok it to the toilet and dumped it in by himself. at least that accident came out with a learning result for him.
the most fun he gets is washign his hands- he loves water!

the child I nanny for has a sticker chart....little stickers for trying without success and big stickers for success. At the end he'll get a big reward because hopefully he'll be fully trained by then.

has he have been given a dad, and older brother or some male discern he can look as much as? possibly while its time to bypass to the lavatory, possibly his dad and so on. can bypass first, and coach him its ok. tell him that is what real men do. this in many situations works with little ones. you're able to desire to aim giving him treats, or maybe doing a action picture star chart on the wall, everytime he is going to the lavatory then he receives a satisfied face on the board, everytime he is going in his nappy he receives a tragic face. if he receives say 5 satisfied faces in a row then he receives a manage, yet while he receives a tragic face then it has to start all over returned. you're able to desire to even attempt asserting that if he receives say 3 unhappy faces in a row then no pudding after tea, or eliminate a toy for the week.

I made a chart and put stars in it and for every 10 stars the kids got a little prize like a trip on the merry go round at the mall or they got to pick out a movie at the library, or they got to get their nails painted...

hope that helps

i like the sticker idea, give her a sticker every time and set it up than when she gets a certain number of stickers she gets a treat - a new toy or something.
