60gb is only better because: BC, 2 more USB ports, Memory Stick/SD/CompactFlash Slots and of course 20gb more.

USB I don't care, same with slots, and I dont own a PS2 so...YA

I have the 60 gig,,, haven't really made a dent in storage. I'll download a demo or movie trailers.. here and there. Then delete them. And of course everyone will tell you the hard drive is replaceable. And it doesn't affect warranty. I think the 40 gig is a good buy.

And no the save files are no where near that large.
good luck

I have a lot og saved games, more than 10 demos and a couple of trailers. It occupies 25 GB. I guess, 40GB is enough, besides, 250GB HDD compatible with PS3 costs around 170$.

I like all the extra features you mentioned but if you dont care about that then yes it is enough. I have a 60 gig and i have downloaded demos and saved data and ive only used 15 GB. If you ever run out then you can buy more gigabytes and install it yourself without ruining the warranty. In a XBOX you have to send it to microsoft and buy their hard drive

Heavenly Sword uses at least 2100 mb (2.1 gb). But that's an extreme. The average game probably uses a few hundred mbs.

yes but if you are gonna spend that kind of money get the 60gig ... it's backwards capable and has more media options.
