I like the tangy flavor of regular mayo. Are there any spices I could add to the lite version?

Although you can add a little of this or that to flavor your light mayo, you' can't actually recreate the wonderful flavor that regular mayo brings to the table. So, here are some thoughts:

1. Use regular mayo, only sparingly, and cut back on your fat in other areas.
2. Make your own mayo using egg beaters, white vinegar etc.
3. Mix your light mayo with a little regular mayo.
4. Add some spice to your light mayo, such as wasabi powder, dried mustard, curry etc. for something different.
5. Add a little plain yogurt to your light mayo.
6. Make ranch dressing from scratch with buttermilk instead of purchasing the "light" variety.

Good luck!

If you don't wan't to add extra liquid, add lemon pepper. I do it all the time w/ my lite mayo. I use lots of it especially in tuna. But i like the idea of mustard.. I'm going to give it a go.

By the way.. the best lite mayo I've found is Best Foods made with Canola oil.. it has a yellow lid. Because I'm with you on the sweet taste, yucky in mayo!

Next time get Best Foods Light mayo. I'm just like you and like the taste of regular mayo better than 'salad dressing' or whatever...

Maybe try a bit of vinegar in a bowl with some of the sweet mayo you already have.

Fresh lime juice is great in mayo, you can also add some smokey paprika, or some chilli sauce or powder. Some mustard like hot mustard or Dijon is nice also.

Mustard. Any kind will do but I always liked
just the plain old French's yellow mustard.

Also, you've never had a real tuna or egg salad sanwich without some mustard mixed in! It's fat free too.
