Located under the U shaped bypass hose.Drain cooling system plug on bottom of radatior. Remove the lower radator hose and Mark the T stat housing scratch with screwdriver take 3 10mm bolts out of the T stat housing use single edge razor blade scrape off silicone sealer clean corrosion from where the hose was replace the spring clamp with stanless gear type clamp. Use a little silicone RTV sealer three of four small spots to hold the thermostat vent hole upward onto the circular groove to hold it in place. Now carefully silicone the entire mating surface, no gasket used just sealer. 1/16 thick on the t stat housing It will only go back one way made easier with your scratch mark. Some time you will knock the Thermostat out of it's circular groove. Drain again try again. Good Luck. 7 year old hoses and radator may need replacing soon!

LOCATE THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE AND WHERE IT GOES INTO THE ENGINE THERE SHOULD BE A HOUSING THAT MAY LOOK HALF ROUND. THERE SHOULD BE TWO BOLTS, REMOVE THEM AND GENTLY PULL/PRY OFF THE HOUSING AND THE THERMOSTAT SHOULD BE VISIBLE. REPLACE THAT WITH AN EXACT MATCH, PUT SOME GASKET SEALER ON THE METAL PIECES AND THEN PLACE A NEW GASKET BETWEEN THE ENGINE BLOCK AND THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING, REPLACE THE BOLTS AND FIRE IT UP AND CHECK FOR LEAKS, ADD A MIXTURE OF 50/50 ANTIFREEZE/WATER, OR SOME PREMIXED STUFF AND TA DA, YOU ARE FINISHED SHOULD COST YOU ABOUT $15.00 OR SO. HOPE THIS HELPS
