What do you do when you like your job but don't like the peop;e you work with.?

My job pays good money......jobs that are just like it in most cases pay less then half the amount...its a union job....the people i work with will stab you in the back in a minute....to make themwselves look good.......I need the money.......but i cant take the people........

You don't have to like them just do your job and deal with your boss only. Make sure your boss knows what you are doing and why. In a union job it is harder to get fired without proof so make sure you can pass a drug test any day and show up everyday and don't fight or harass anyone about anything. Keep quiet and watch your back.

See it this way, at least you get good pay. Imagine if you get paid a lot less AND don't get along with the other employees/managers. I know that it will get to you sooner or later. What you need to do is to save up some money. If one day you can't stand it anymore than you can start looking for a new job. Hopefully your new job pays you the same rate or more. If it pays you less then at least you have your savings to cover up the bills.

My only advice is, CYA cover your *** e-mail conversations whatever so you don't get yourself in trouble and never end a job because of personal relationships. The only person you have to worry about is you and the boss. Who cares about everyone else. The boss can see right through the whole situation and in the end that boss will look out for you.

Well if you need the money you really don't have a choice here. although it will be hard, try and ignore these people. Maybe it will benefit you in the end because the management will see that you are the only honest one around.

The most common reason that people quit their jobs is due to bad management or bad co-workers.

I can attest to that.
I stayed in one job that I loved, for 5 years, because I loved the job. But it had not so good management. Eventually I quit.

I've learned through the years that when you don't like someone, it's usually because they have some trait or characteristic that you don't like about yourself.

I recommend listing the things you don;t like about a particular person and compare to see if it matches your own personality.

Might be that you need to work on accepting flaws in yourself otherwise, you'll have this problem with people everywhere you go in life.

I found that people who truly like and respect themself tend to not worry about what other people are thinking, doing or how they are behaving. Personally, I don't care what other people say. If they talk about me, then I see it as their problem not mine.
