Marscarpone-Italian, triple-cream cheese made from creme fraiche. It is used in a variety of applications, and is used in tiramisu.

Ricotta-Italian, and may also be sweetened for a dessert application.

These chesses are delicious and add a lot of flavor to desserts, but they may not set as well as the standard cream cheese frosting.

You can sweeten it with confectioner's sugar, to your taste.

Cream cheese
Neufchatel
Mascarpone

You'll most likely have to add powdered sugar to it though to sweeten it up as most recipes call for this.

Usually cream cheese is used to make frosting, but it is mixed with sugar. Google how to make cream cheese frosting.
