Sorry you have the flu. Garlic and the best is Kyolic. Zinc and they mentioned C which if you like OJ it's loaded. You may want to go to vitacost.com and vitaminshoppe.com. I suggest the vitacost as I just found out about it tracking down other sources of reveratrol and they have all the major brands and at some great discount. Make sure you get a good multivitamin. Knowthecause.com is a site that Doug Coffman runs, if free, he also has a show M-F. I also suggest resveratrol, wild oregano, OregaMax is the original ancient formula.

He is an ex Vietnam vet that came back all sick and he has found out the mold and fungus cause most sickness and he can back it up. He is against the normal doctor/pill see you later routine. Watch read something funny like Answers, Ha!

Main thing get rest, eat good, you may want to buy a homes air filter system, they run as low as $30 and can buy anywhere and they remove stuff in the air down to 1 micron. When I lived n a high rise used to sneeze all the time from acid they poured down pipes, got one of them and no problems and still using. Get well and take care.

Take some good vitamin C tablets, and lots of them - They will give your immune system a boost. The last two times I was sick, I did this, and both times I recovered within a couple of days. Most people can handle 8,000 mg, but each person's body is different. Don't worry about overdosing, because you can't. Your body will absorb all it can, and the excess will be expelled in your poopie (I said poopie, hehe). When your poopie becomes soft, your body can absorb no more vitamin C - Cut back a thousand mg or two and things will return to normal. I've also tried eating garlic, lemons, honey, etc - And they're all good as well, but this is the easiest thing to do.

Since I totally reject conventional medicine and the criminal pharmaceutical cartels, I rely solely upon alternative and naturopathic medicine, coupled with herbal and natural vitamin protocols. If I were experiencing the flu or severe cold, I would take two cloves (crushed) raw organic garlic three times per day, washed down with orange juice or almond milk. Also, I would take at least 3000 mg of Vitamin C in 1000 mg doses three times per day. Buy your vitamins and herbs at a health food store. Do not use any of the pharmaceutical cold preparations sold at commercial drug stores such as Walgreens, as they are worthless and in most cases do more harm than good. Click on to Andrew Weil,M.D..com as he is an integrative physician, and probably the most knowledgeable medical doctor in the United States. Also, research the web for natural alternative methods to fight the flu. Good luck.

A good homemade chicken soup plus some cold and flu medicine I think that nyquell Nyquil might help. Also lots of good lemon tea is the best.
Take care.hope you feel better.

BtW DON't take any other pain relievers if you chose NyQuill that is already there. This cold medicine is just to help you through the night..so READ the label..

In reality just drink plenty of water and have a nice meal for dinner. Nothing heavy, the chicken soup idea the first person suggested will work. Then take the Nyquil they suggested as well. It will help you sleep and rest is vital to a quick recovery.

So, lots of clear liquid, a light but good evening meal and plenty of rest. You should wake up feeling a ton better.

Well, it it is "bad" then use medication.

For night time, the best thing is Cough Syrup from the doctor. It normally has Hydrocodine which suppresses coughs, helps with pain, and helps you sleep. It also contains antihistamine and sometimes Tylenol to assist with this effect.

Most important it dries you up... so much so you may wake up thirsty and have a dry throat and nose. You don't have to worry about nasal drip into your lungs while you sleep... which can lead to bad lung congestion and possible pneumonia.

Forget all the chicken soup stuff. Make a good dinner, chop up about 20 garlic cloves, not elephant garlic, eat your meal one bite of food, one bite of garlic until all of the meal is gone. When you get up in the morning you should be 100% better. Garlic stops colds and flu better than any drugs or cold and flu medicines.

Limes, limes work on a soar throat like nothing I have seen. Just sit down with some fresh limes and eat them, nibble on them, drink the juice and you will recover quickly, they destroy bacteria and stop the flu.

I dont know if this will help, but my Turkish friend told me that it works...
Get a spoonful of honey, and but some lemon juice on top of it, and pour a bit of pepper on top and take that.
When I was really sick my friend gave me like 5 spoonfuls of that concoction at a time. Lol I dont know if it helped honestly, but i strangely liked it lol
It may help, I mean they say when your sick put lemon and honey in tea. So I can see why she gave it to me. But apparently, in Turkey they do that when people are sick.

Hope you get better soon! :)
