In his famous speech which said that "Roy West is a clueless racist tosser", then Enoch was indeed completely right.

His thought and words have some ring of truth but times have changed since his days and we are a more tolerant society and accept the fact that as British we have no rights anymore to voice our opinions as it is no loner politically correct, so whether he was right or not no longer holds water, after all our politicians are afraid to speak out against their parties policies, in case they are called racists. Britain has to accept that its not the Britain it was 30 years ago and we are now a multi racial country, where we allow any one in and let them do what they want and us Brits are not allowed to complain in case it cause's offence. that why we have radical Muslims clerics practising its hate of the west and the government puts up a half hearted attempt to stop it, but the European court of human right, says "we cant do this, or we cant do that" and the politicians creep back into their safe little seats in the house of commons and leaves the ordinary Brit to risk their life's out there in public places. So in answer to your question "yes i think Enoch had some very valid points, but then again I'm an almost extinct race and my view count for nothing, and i bet this answer gets me a warning !!!!

What about? Adding a third lane onto motorways? Putting milk in his tea?
We all make good and bad decisions, but the ones he made weren't that good.

No.

Why I bother answering this question (posted many times by BNP supporters) is beyond me when the poster is not interested in stimulating debate, but rather getting more votes for the BNP.

Look around you. Where do you see rivers of blood? The IRA, WHITE people have killed more than immigrants have. The NHS would collapse if it was not for immigration. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bristol/4317457.stm

We were facing a strawberry shortage as there were not enough people to pick them earlier this year, not enough immigrants, as UK workers would not work in agriculture. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6270642.stm

Be careful for what you wish for, if the BNP take power and immigration is ended with immigrants being kicked out, the country will fall apart. We will have no NHS, but just like the Nazi's did in Germany, the BNP would find another excuse for the country getting worse rather than the loony polices they have. If you do not think that the NHS could survive without immigration, check out the BMA website on this. http://www.bma.org.uk/ap.nsf/Content/bmaimmigrationadviceservice Our NHS needs immigration. Why else would the BMA be helping doctors to work here?

(Managed migration is a different issue.)

I love my country, lets work together to make it better, not fight amongst ourselves to make it worse.

Enoch Powell was indeed correct as everything he predicted so long ago in his "rivers of blood" speech has virtually happened. He was in fact "the greatest political leader we never had". Edward Heath the political leader who decided to dismiss him was wrong, incompetent and irrespponsible in the action he took against Enoch..

No, he wasn't. It would have been "white-on-white" instead of "foreigner-on-white" which Powell envisioned. He was misguided as far as I'm concerned.

Not only that, but his infamous "rivers of blood" speech is far more likely to be started by the white fascists of a BNP or NF government than a Black or Asian majority country.

Btw, I sigh at all the negative views made to my post. You lot are so clearly full of hatred, and you fail to understand the BNP and "White Pride" are rotten to the core.

You far right types ever-present in this question are the true sorry picture of the modern day of this country. I would shudder to think of the country we would get if it was just you voting, not one I'd like to live in and I bet a number of you don't realise how bad it would be.

I'm gonna be accused of being racist but yes yes yes, my grandad agreed with him twenty years ago when Powell said by the turn of the century there would be pocket communities in our cities and now twenty years later yes he was right.

of course he was... i'm sure many people agreed with him at the time but remained silent but here we are living through his predictions we all know he was right so why does no one act to do something about it....i believe as a nation we are pretty spineless and would rather lie down and be pissd all over by immigrants than do anything... god let the day come when we unite as we should and claim our land back....

He was a wise man - and yes I think he was right but perhaps he could have expressed his opinion in a better way.
