Tournaments are not generally broadcast on television except for the forms and weapons grand champion competition from NASKA national tournaments in conjunction with kick boxing cards on ESPN. The fighting action is not easily picked up by the camera since some of the shots while scoring points are not landing hard so you don't see any shock, impact, or concussion from them. I have been at a number of tournaments competing where they had film crews taping for movies and they usually had to tape several hours of stuff to get a few minutes of usable footage. So rather than do that now they stage tournaments and tournament fight scenes. I suspect that there is not enough action, it is too hard for the cameras to pick up and the public would rather see something a little more violent and that has a big bang effect like full contact, MMA, and boxing than point fighting or sport karate fighting. Chuck Norses' Fight League probably comes closest to point fighting and in that it is not tag and the action is continuous rather than it being stopped to call for points and restarted again and is being broadcast pretty often right now.
