I'm a 14 y/o girl... the colour it is right now is a gross blue-purple-gray-GROSS colour.
What do you think is a nice colour to paint it? I don't want pink. It will be a kind of calm, exotic themed, (hopefully)

I was sort of thinking a light green/lime green... but I'm just not 100% sure and I want it to be nice for sure this time

Before I read your additional details my first thought was lime green, then I saw that's what you wanted! I'm looking at the top on the yahoo answers page here - see the 2 greens? I wouldn't do the brighter one, but the paler one or somewhere in between the two - still bold but not screaming green!

I would definitely go for it - green walls and nice white trim, and then punch up the color even more with your accessories. With the green, you could keep it 'calm' by going with the green and white theme, (lots of plants would make it calm and botanical) or if you wanted it more fun and 'exotic' bring in some oranges and pinks or whatever makes you all 'tingly' inside! The good thing about the green is that you could go either way, and change your accessories when the mood suits you.

Too many people are afraid of color - good on you for wanting something bolder than usual. Anyway, it's just paint - easy and cheap to do over if you don't like it!

If you like the green tones, then go to your local paint store and pick out a strip of paint colors that has some of your favorite greens on it. You can pick a lighter tone of the color you like so that it won't be too bold, yet still be the same hue.

A bright brilliant white always looks fantastic. Don't use a cream because it can scream "rental property".
The white will look fresh and make the room look bigger, then you can change the look of the room when ever you want with the colours used in your bed linen, wall hangings etc.

You could paint it a medium-light blue. Any accent colors would work- green, gray, brown, white, even orange would look cool.
