Comparison with a NEXTEL Cup Car
The cars used today in the Busch Series are slightly different versions of their NEXTEL Cup Series counterparts, the main differences being a slightly shorter wheelbase (105" instead of 110") and a larger spoiler (57" wide x 5.75" high instead of 55" x 4.5"). In the past, Busch Series competitors could use makes of cars not used in the Cup series, as well as V-6 engines instead of Cup's V-8s, but the cars used in the series now are very similar.
While the Busch Series car is lighter, less powerful, and has a shorter wheelbase; superficially, they can appear identical to the untrained eye. The suspensions, brake systems, transmissions, are identical between each series. The Car of Tomorrow does eliminate some of these similarities. The Car of Tomorrow is taller and wider than the current generation vehicles in the Busch Series and utilizes a rear wing and front splitter opposed to a rear spoiler and front valance. The Car of Tomorrow has also been setting pole speeds slower than the Busch Series cars at companion races
There is also a lot more money involved and close to half the field are Cup car drivers.

The busch series is the "warm up " to the big leagues in a sense. Baseball has its minor leagues. Well for Nascar that is the busch series. Now don't get this wrong there are some really good drivers in the busch and lately a lot of the Nextel drivers are running the series too. Nextel is considered the top series for Stock cars.

most of these answers are right and all though I never read all of them I never did read where any of them are telling you that there are so many cup drivers that run both cup and Busch that you rarely see a Busch only driver finish it the top 10. NA$CAR has become so MONEY hungry that they are stinking up there series horribly. The new fan just eat up that there star is driving both cup and Busch and so id the guy who is in charge Brian France. France is the family that started and owns NA$CAR .
yes more money
They are not as good because they don't get the track time because of all the cup drivers.
The car are different.
If you decide to start watching then you will be OK but I was there from the 50's and this my friend has turned into a joke series that they have created. There are better series than NA$CAR so be open minded, and don't listen to me I have a bad attitude about whats going on you need to find out for your self.

Well the Nextel Cup is the premier series. The best of the best race, 36 weekends a year competing for the Championship, given to the person leading the points at the end of the last race. This series has more sponsors and more high dollar sponsors and events. The Busch series is just like practice, and alot of the Cup drivers compete in the Busch Races, for instance Carl Edwards, is winning the Busch Series points. Jeff Gordon, one of the best drivers ever, is leading the Chase for the Cup, in the Cup series. The Busch series is also like a developmental process in the drivers careers preparing them for the Cup Series and the racing involved in the Cup Series. The cars are very much different. Right now, the Cup series is using the COT for 16 races, and using the older style car for the other 26. However, next year the COT ( Car of Tomorrow) will be used full time. The Busch series uses the older style car, except the requirements during inspection are different the wheel bases and heights and other equipment like shocks, springs, and etc. are also different. Some of the big tracks in both series are: Daytona, Talladega, Bristol, Martinsville, Atlanta, Sonoma, Watkins Glen, Indianapolis, and Charlotte, among others. Hope this helps you understand some of the basics of NASCAR.

The cars are slightly different, there slightly different rules, less money involved and normally the drivers are less experienced. It is kind of a minor league for Nextel Cup, it's one of the many smaller series.
