It's been a while I don't read the Bible, but what chapter is it on? And what does it mean?

Is this what is known as the "Rapture"?

As you can see by the first two answers, there is some distention on the interpretation of this verse. Taken on face value, and with the view "if it can be taken literally, take it literally", it means two will be in one place at one time and a second later one will still be there and one left behind. Christians who believe in the rapture believe that this refers to the rapture. Many other parts of scripture support the doctrine of the rapture.

The "rapture" is where God takes all His people out of the Earth before the Great tribulation, a period where God's wrath is poured out on the world and world system. This wrath is for non believers, not God's people.

Matt 24 :40-41 I believe is the passage you are referring to but it doesn't say "two will be sleeping". This takes place after the tribulation (Matt 24:29). I do not believe this is the rapture but rather the separation of the wheat and tares spoken of in Matt 13. Kind of the opposite of the rapture.

Ok, Luke 17:34 is where you are quoting from, it is slightly different from Matt 24

i am not sure what chapter it is but what it means is that when Jesus comes back there could be two people beside each other one maybe a Christian and the other is not and then Jesus comes back the Christian would be taken and the other would be left behind.

It's called the Rupture, and it will happen wherever people go out in twos. Calls to 911 will go crazy.

Then Jesus will arrive, pulled by twenty-four reindeer.
