I am a Christian and I know there is death. I also know there is everlasting life after.

If you mean a denial that death is the end - isn't that one of the main raisons d'etre of religion? Because people can't accept that this is the only life we have?

It's because it is very hard to come to terms with bereavement and the thought that they'll never see their loved ones again and that this is all there is.

There's no denial of physical death simply the belief that we have acquired self awareness and conscience for a reason and that the existence of moral beliefs has a foundation.

There is no denial, as Christians we do believe that we will die but it will be a different death in that when we die we will go to heaven to be with Jesus. For those Christians who are lucky enough we may not have to die to be with Jesus if he comes back within our life time then we will be in heaven before we die for eternity,

As Christians we are told to go and spread the good word and if you read a book like the Foxe's Book of Martyrs or webpages like www.persecution.net and http://www.worthynews.com/christian-news.php you will see people living that purpose and dying for it.

Only in the sense that our souls don't die, we'll be with Jesus. Our physical bodies will die and decay just like everyone else's. I don't know what happens to the souls of Atheists and mockers, but it probably isn't fun.
