In the end he became a christian. I feel sad that his life turned out that way. And I feel sorry for the victims. Dont you think that in some way he was a victim - very sick - as well?

Jeffrey's unseemly and tormented life was a tragedy. But having received Christ while in prison, how can we feel sorry for him now?
He is home in glory with Christ Jesus.

Equally tragic were the lives of his victims. They too had to have come to faith in Jesus for them to be as well off now as Jeffrey is.

Jeffrey Dahmer like all serial killers was mentally disturbed, looking back we can see points in his life where the pattern could have been stopped because hindsight is 20/20.. Unfortunately for both Dahmer and his victims the pattern was not seen at the time and no effort was made to stop the cycle...

Yes, in some ways Jeffrey Dahmer was a victim, that does not excuse his behavior it simply leads me to looking at the cracks and trying to close them so no other Jeffrey Dahmer slip through unnoticed...

With proper counseling at the beginning of the cycle could Dahmer have been stopped? Possibly...

Is it worth trying to catch the next potential Dahmer at the beginning of the cycle and using counseling to try and stop the cycle? Most definately...

Dahmer was pure evil. How can anyone feel sorry for evil people. I have worked in a prison for 17 years, as a correctional officer. I face pure evil everyday. For those who believe that inmates are sincere when they find god while incarcerate, you're all fools. They look for someone to excuse and forgive them for what they have done. No one on earth can do that, so they turn to god, thinking that what they have done will be forgiven, because the bible says so! It makes them better about what they have done. Dahmer got what he deserved. And I don't believe that god can forgive so easily. If that's the case, you can kill a person everyday of your life, but as long as you ask for forgiveness, you can be saved. Inmates believe this. That's why the continue to do the horrible crimes that bring them back to prison. They believe god forgives them every time. They use the bible to find someone to feel sorry for them. "Look at me, I'm reading my bible! You should forgive me for what I have done! God forgives me, It says so right here!" There is no forgiveness for a murderer. Let's see how forgiving you would be if one of his victims was one of your loved ones. Doesn't hurt until it happens to you!

I find it difficult to feel compassion for that man. Did you ever see the movie? Did he exhibit any compassion for his victims? It's up to God to decide if he is forgiven but I find it hard to feel any compassion toward him. If he truly did "find" God and Jesus I am glad to hear that. I did not know he did.

Henry: promiscuous homosexuals or not NO ONE deserves to die the way they were killed! I don't care what "sins" they seem to be doing. It does not make their lives any less worthy! My gosh, how can you say something like that and consider yourself human! It's just as bad when people say the same thing about prostitutes that get murdered. God forbid we should ever have to walk in their shoes! A life is a life no matter how it is judged in your eyes to be......this is the same kind of thinking that makes me disappointed with humanity.

something happen in his life for him to do what he did. I know in the end he became a christian, and he would cry and cry about what he did, he acknowledge that he couldn't believe he did what he did, and he was sorrowful. It's too bad, but I guess we will never know why it happened. But God is merciful beyond what we could ever imagine.Someone somewhere victimized him, I think.

I feel sorry for his victims. I simply feel sorrow for his soul and I hope he truly did make peace with God.But I cannot judge that so all I can say is it was a tragedy for all involved.

Only another pervert could feel sorry for Jeffery Dahmer. If he is in Heaven you can send me to Hell.

He was indeed a very sick and very disturbed individual, but I cannot feel pity for him because he did all those horrible things to those innocent boys, and knew he what he was doing was wrong, but refused to seek help. Someone like him deserves no pity.

I refuse to empathize will sociopaths, for they would never do the same with me. In the end he may have become a christian but you know Adolph Hitler was a Catholic and well what he made people think and do, would in my kingdom deserve no respect or forgiveness.

Why would I feel sorry for that nutbag? he did it to himself, and eventually becoming Christian by no means excuses the nasty things he did in his life. He was only a victim in that he made himself into one.

Don't feel sorry for those who did it to themselves when they know better.
