"Behold! the angels said, 'Oh Mary! God gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him. His name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter, and in (the company of) those nearest to God. He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity.
He shall be (in the company) of the righteous... And God will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel'" (3:45-48).
"He [Jesus] said: 'I am indeed a servant of God. He has given me revelation and made me a prophet; He has made me blessed wheresoever I be; and He has enjoined on me prayer and charity as long as I live. He has made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable. So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)!' Such was Jesus the son of Mary. It is a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) God that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is" (19:30-35).
"When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: 'Now I have come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which you dispute. Therefore, fear God and obey me. God, He is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him -- this is a Straight Way.' But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement. So woe to the wrongdoers, from the penalty of a Grievous Day!" (43:63-65)
"And behold! God will say [i.e. on the Day of Judgment]: 'Oh Jesus, the son of Mary! Did you say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God?' He will say: 'Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would indeed have known it. You know what is in my heart, though I know not what is in Yours. For You know in full all that is hidden. Never did I say to them anything except what You commanded me to say: 'Worship God, my Lord and your Lord.' And I was a witness over them while I lived among them. When You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a witness to all things'" (5:116-117).
"Christ, the son of Mary, was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how God makes His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!" (5:75).

I Will Tell you SomeThing.
Jesus was surrounded by Invisible Angels All of the Time.
Angels Operate in the Spiritual Realm which Controlls the Physical Realm
Human Beings cannot Out Fight GOD's Angels.
NOBODY could of Even Touched Jesus, if Jesus didn't want them to Touch HIM, much less hurt or kill HIM.
Angels are POWERFUL.
When The Fathers TIME came for Jesus to Die for ALL Human Beings on the Cross---THEN Jesus told HIS Angels to let them Kill HIM on the Cross--the Angels stood back and let them' kill Jesus.
Jesus did not commit Suicide---Jesus "Dropped HIS Guard".
The Other People Killed HIM.
Remember, HE was Sentenced by the Government to DIE.

Jesus came with the intention of dying. When God spoke to Adam and Eve about their sins, and issued punishment according, and turned to Satan, He told Satan that a Son of Eve will crush his head. So while the Garden of Eden still bore the echos of Adam and Eve's sin, Jesus was making His march to the cross. The Jew's didn't kill him. That has been a misnomer for eons, and has been the source for many anti-semitic legacies. The world, humanity, killed Jesus. I killed him, you killed him, the Pope killed him. All who were and are yet to come bear His blood. They can use it for sanctification or desicration, either way it rests in your hands. Jesus was the Sacrifice of Atonement, as annual sacrifice Judaism carries out be forgiven of their sins. Jesus, being blameless as He was born of a woman (making Him a man) but not of a man (making Him free from original sin) became the sacrificial lamb (this is where the saying comes from, the sacrifice of atonement) for the world.

Jesus came to the earth to show the people what Gods plan was. He was told to stop preaching and he would not do so because that was his purpose on earth. He had the opportunity to run and hide but he stood for his purpose and was killed because of it. Its not the fact that he was hung on the cross thats the most important, its the fact that he was resurrected from the dead. He sacrificed his life by offering it up to God as an example and to take upon him all the sins of the people. He could have run but that was not his purpose here and many needed to see the miracle that was the resurection to believe in his words.

Jesus became flesh in order to bring us salvation. His "flesh" did not want to die. But, He knew that a sacrifice had to be offered for the sins of the world. (No other sacrifice was acceptable because He was dying for all of the world for all time. ) Anyway it's sort of like this- sometimes we love someone so much that we will spend our last dime to help them. Only Jesus was willing to give something more valuable than His last dime. He gave His life. This is hard to understand unless you really love someone. You may have to have children of your own to really get it.
Besides that as God's son He had the power to stop the whole thing at any time. He did miracles remember. He could have decided not to allow any of it to happen.

We believe that Jesus is a God´s Son sent to earth to teach the Lord´s will to us. Yes He sacrificed himself, his body and soul were human. According to prophecies and old sayings this should happen to accomplish God ´s plan.
As human he could have say no to God. But as we all must do, obedience is the main thing in all religions. And He obey to fulfill the promess of God to his people. It s all in the Bible.
In some way might be a rite, since in the old times , jews offered animals to God., for their sins. And Jesus was the Lamb to be offered to God to clean our sins.
Yes, he was killed, crucified by his own people .
God Almighty could as a Faher prevent Him from dying, but it s was written that is God´s will. To sacrifice His own beloved son. for us. Extreme is His Love to do so.

Jesus was offered as a sacrifice by His father as was written. Otherwise He would have not needed to pray that the cup be taken from His lips. The jews simply played their part.Much like the Romans. Jesus said No man takes my lifebut that I lay it down willingly. But I cannot see anyone WANTING to die, especially in such a cruel fashion.

I understand what your saying, however He did sacrifice Himself. If He hadn't wanted to die all he had to do was say, "nope I'm not doing this." and take Himself off of the cross. But because He loves everybody He let them kill Him in order for us not to go to hell for eternity. Hope this helps!

Jesus knew exactly what would happen when He came to earth....and He submitted to the will of God, which was for Him to die on the cross as the last sacrifice for mankind's sins.
He could have stopped it at any time, so yes, He gave up His life intentionally.

JESUS knew what HE had to do. That is why HE said:
Matthew 26:42 Â He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
"...THY will be done." The will of the FATHER was that JESUS go through with HIS mission of saving us.
GOD bless
