Ok so here is the situation, I am a high school senior and through out my four years here I have never like had a crush on any girl . Yeah sure, I would point out and say "hey that girl is pretty hot", but I have never had feeling for a particular girl. That all changed this year. I know this one girl who is just amazing. She is a cheerleader but does not fit the stereotype.In actuality she is really smart, funny, amazingly gorgeous and really nice. But here is the problem, I am an american born sikh and she is well, white. Also, she is a cheerleader and I am a competitive runner. I'm pretty confident with myself and I'm a health freak so I have a athletic body but the problem is that I wear a turban and grow a beard due to my religion. I am a devout sikh, but I really like this girl and I dont know what to do. Im thinking of asking her to winter formal. I just need some advice. Can somebody help me out?

look, if this girl is as awesomely nice and awesome, and funny and whatever as you say she is, then appearances shouldn't really matter. try to be her friend. thats what i say to everybody. be one of her best friends. make her comfortable around you, and your traditions and what not. based on your self-description, id say youd be a pretty interesting guy. make conversation. compliments, whatever. hope that helps! good luck guy.

honey, all you can do is ask. it doesn't matter what her race or religion is. you're going to have rejections from time to time but you have to start somewhere. go ahead and just ask. what have you got to lose?
btw-would you be this worried is she were from the same background?
