Although it is not a god, I suspect that the most popular thing to worship these days is money. Perhaps this is nothing new.

I'm not to sure if "gods" of any religion are popular right now. I myself am a Christ follower, so that was hard for me to say.

He's worshiped by athiests, christians, muslims, you name it.

Don't believe me? ask the christians that you know personally, if they give 10% of their income to the church. Mormons have the highest percentage, but just the same.. it's money grudgingly given.

the regular christian God. Everyone knows about him and when people ask others "do you believe in God?" thats who most of them think of when they say yes.
