Like how many drops of red food coloring to yellow food coloring? I want a bright orange, like a pumpkin. Thanks!

Try 2 yellow and 1 red, that should work, if it still isnt bright enough, add more red until you get your desired color.

Since you want a brighter orange put more yellow in then red. Try 4 drops of yellow and 2 or 3 drops of red.

I would put the yellow in the bowl first.. then start with a drop of red.. and stir.. and continue u on.. until u get the color of orange u like..

mix the white frosting.. add yellow several drops.. ... stir.. then one drop of red..

try 3 drops of red and 4 drops yellow. mix seperatly from frosting till u get the color you want.

I would use a natural color agent like OJ or Pumpki pie filling simmered with a cup of milk and a cup of sugar. Both when mixed with frosting should give you an orange color. If you need it brighter try a scoop of tang or orange Koolaid.

I find it interesting that two people have given me thumbs down. I cook for a living. I have used all of these ideas and had excelent success. It is ok to be different you know.

Start with yellow, then slowly add red until you get the color you want.
