It is not a permit violation. In the State of California, where obviously none of you are from, 16 year olds are issued restricted licenses on a provisional basis.

This is a violation of California Vehicle Code section 12814.6, subdivision (b), paragraph (1). According to subdivision (d), the penalty is between eight and sixteen hours of community service for a first offense and a base fine of $35 plus applicable penalty assessments, this will be approximately $146. This is a zero point violation pursuant to subdivision (e).

*/End of Line.

If your permit does not allow it, you could lose the permit and also lose the chance of getting a license until you are 18 or 21.

well, i take it that you have a permit, anyways, you're permit can be taken away, or if you have a license, and with a license, you have to wait a certain time, usually a couple of months then you can drive a minor, otherwise, your license can be suspended too
