by the company i work for and also one of the floor managers at work. its got to the point where i dont enjoy my job anymore cos they wont leave me alone. they keep picking on everything i do. they watch me like a hawk all the time, like whenever i go somewhere to get stock or do anything they ask everyone where i am and what time i went. i know for a fact that no one else in my workplace gets treated like this. there are lots of other things they pick on me for but its too much to go into. its like they are waiting for me to do something wrong, then i get taken into a room and spoken to like im being interviewed by the police. i hate them all and they make my working life miserable. im trying to leave right now, ive had numerous interviews and i will go at the first chance i get. but i want to know if theres anything i can do about the way they have treated me as its caused me a lot of emotional stress and embarrasment in my job.

Who needs a job like this? You are right to leave. You usually find obnoxious people everywhere you work, but not in the numbers you are describing here. It would not be worth staying here and trying to work it out.

Oh sweetie, I could cry reading this. I know exactly what you mean as I worked for a company for 7 years and was bullied by two managers, I was made to feel asthough every day was my first and I was constantly out the back in tears. It resulted in me suffering a serious nervous problem and I couldn't leave my house eventually. With help and medication, I'm a lot better but I'm working somewhere much better now and I'm actually beginning to feel happy again!
Please don't put up with this anymore, I would hate it if you ended up suffering with severe anxiety like I did.Get on the job pages on the internet, go to job agencies and don't stop until you find something! But if it's possible, maybe leave your job now or take some time off. I was signed off sick for 2 weeks when I got to my worse point but after that, I simply didn't go back and my partner supported me.
Please keep strong and remember that once you leave this place it will be their loss. You are worth so much more than this. Good luck to you honey xxx

This is unacceptable behaviour anywhere. You don't say how long you have worked there, if it's something that's just started to happen etc. May I suggest you keep a diary, note down dates, what happens, who's involved, what is said etc. If you have been employed long enough and take it to a tribunal you will need to have facts. After a couple of weeks ask to see your HHRR (personnel manager) and go through what's happened and ask why it's happening. If you don't have an HHRR person take it your immediate superior, and if you have no joy with him/her ask to speak to their immediate superior. Bullying and emotional harrassment is not acceptable. I had a smilar situation some years ago and won my industrial tribunal even though technically I hadn't been employed for long enough. The boss made a serious error and had to pay out. It wasn't a fortune, but it upset him and as far as I know he's never done it since.

Good luck with your interviews.

do you not have a union or peoples rights this is very serious as bullying in the work place or anywhere is a serious offence and a big focus on that subject at the moment see your GP and this will be recorded as if you are going to do something and your health suffers because of how you are treated say nothing to anyone and get advice why should you give up your job record all that happens and there must be someone to help ?let them know you will not take this lightly and that you have made enquires?Evan talk a god game maybe they ll back off and attack someone else?take care

You deserve a medal. You are still going into work every day even though you are being treated in a disgusting manner. Hold your head up high. Maybe you should keep a diary and get a dictaphone to record anything that is said to you. Also, if you are taken into the office for a talking to ask a trusted colleague to be a witness, which you are perfectly entitled to. I am going through a similar thing and what keeps me going is the knowledge that one day i can tell them all to shove it and tell them what i really think of them. Your day will come honey.xx

You poor thing. Is there anyone higher up you can speak to? If not then you need to talk to your Manager and ask why they are doing this to you. You do not have to put up with this kind of treatment. Can you talk to your family about this and perhaps they can help? I would carry on looking for another job and leave as soon as you can. You could go to your Dr and tell him how stressed you are and maybe he/she can give you a sick note and then you can take the time off work
to look for another job. If things don't get any better then I would just leave.

Sweetheart, I have just read one of your questions and you say you are drinking a bottle of wine a day.??? Obviously because of your Job?? Please see your Dr and Leave this job it not worth killing yourself for.

Good luck

Leave ,take the firm to an industrial tribunal and sue for constructive dismissal Bfore that you could request an appointment with the manager/ director. Explain your position with them, but ensure you either take your union rep or a nuetral party with you. If the second option doesn't work inform them of the first option. Also you keep as near as possible a diary of all that occures or has occured. The diary is the important evidence of you inform your manager

Hi, I am a night shift GSM with ASDA, I believe that the best course of action would be to ask to speak to the floor manager in question in private and explain that you feel intimidated and that if this manager has an issue with you then he/she should be honest and discuss this openly to allow you to fix the issue in question.

If this does not work then I would suggest taking this on to the next level up from your floor manager, explain that you have tried to rectify the problem in question with the floor manager, but nothing has changed. At this point you have the opportunity to raise a formal grievance about the issue, explaining that you feel intimidated and victimised. Place this complaint in writing to the higher manager. This should sort the problem out and if this fails take the issue even further with he Head Office. No one likes to go on to this level of complaining but sometimes this is the only course of action. You should not feel guilty about going to any level of grievance and you should view this as the only fair path to take if your employers have managers who do not place the value of good workers into the forefront of being part of their job.

Hope this works.

I was in the same position you are in about two years ago.
I tried everything, talking to them, telling them it was hurtful.
Going to upper managment. But things got even worse after
that. I tried to "get a thicker skin." I finally had a nervous
breakdown, The real deal. My advice to you, is leave.
Somepeople are just plain idiots. It is not worth your time
energy and health.
I wish you the best.
