she's 7years old and he moved here with his dad and step mom and sister and his family lives in cali. so how can i help them with out bugging them and be their?!!? please help me out .

Look! You may be feeling like this out of some sense of guilt, or missguided duty. It's not unusual to feel this way shortly after someones passing. It could also be that you want to retain some sort of connection with HIM.

The thing is: all of those feelings have absolutely nothing to do with THEM (his family), and once you come to that realization you will probably be ready to move on.

Maybe his dad & step mom will be mature enough to handle it should that be the way things turn out. But what about his little sister? How will she feel, if you come poking around trying to satisfy your own needs, & then make a departure soon afterwards?

Sure, keep in contact with them if you have always had a strong connection with them in the 1st place. But be brave enough to recongnise your true motivations for wanting to stay connected, or to "help" them & to know the difference between being motivated through healthy reasons or unhealthy ones.

Yeah, I agree with the first response. Help out by doing something constructive like taking the kid out for little while to give the adults time alone and get her mind off it. You could also take them some food like lasagna or something so they dont have to worry about cooking.

Ask what u can do and help them with easy stuff like laundry and pick up food and stuff
