you can *ask* God for anything. But in my opinion self-less prayers are great too. I pray that God lets you live. You seem to have the hope to live, so keep on fighting. Trust God. And absolutely yes, above all else, pray.

It does no good to worry about the extent of your life now. If you remain faithful to God and follow the bible and have a good heart even if you die he has the power to bring you back to life when his will has been accomplished on earth.
Never should we feel that our efforts to please God have been in vain. Jesus promised: “No one has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the good news who will not get a hundredfold now . . . and in the coming system of things everlasting life.” (Mark 10:29, 30) A thousand years from now, how significant will your job, house, or bank account seem? Still, the sacrifices you have made for God will be meaningful a million years from now—a billion years from now! “For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work.”—Hebrews 6:10.

Ask away! I'll throw one up for you too. I'll ask that he keep you alive until some Friday in 2056. O.K?

You can ask God anything you want, weather or not he answers is a different question, and the next step is weather or not you like the answer.
