The Bible was probably begun about 1350 BC or so. There were many religions before then, and the Bible copies some of them.

We tend to think of Christ as existing between about 1 AD to 34 AD, give or take a few years. But according to his own words he existed before the creation of the universe and he exists right up until the present moment. So he spans all of time. He has always been part of the trinity, and he will always be part of trinity. The time before the bible was written was a time of preparation for his coming into the world. One may ask why he did not come into the world earlier, or later. The answer is that he came into the world when the world was finally ready to receive him, when we had matured enough to be able to understand what it was he came to tell us. Humanity is similar to a growing plant. First there is a seed, then the roots grow, then the plant itself begins to develop. Eventually the plant thrusts itself through the earth into the sun, and eventually it is ready to flower. The flower of humanity is Christ, and he came when the plant was ready to bloom. His message was that we must love God and each other. Some accepted this message, others rejected it, and others put him to death for speaking it. Yet we still have his message, through the bible and the witness of the apostles. This reveals the wisdom of God, in that Christ came at a time when his revelation would not be lost but would in fact be spread across the whole world. Everything before the gospels was preparation for Christ, everything after is our response to his coming.

Satan was one of the archangels. He got all pumped up and thought he was so great that he could start his own fan club. One third of the angels that God had created decided to go over to the dark side with Satan. God wasn't happy with Satan. Before that God did love Satan. This is what is referred to as the overthrow. This was in the first heaven age. The first earth age was then as well. That is when the dinosaurs existed. (We are in the second age now.)

God had created Satan and all the angels. Satan at one time protected the mercy seat, a very important job. So Satan got all full of himself, and thought he could take over, and the angels would follow him, which some did. When pride gets in your way, and you think can override God, you'll get put in your place. Michael, the archangel, holds Satan now in chains, and will boot him out to earth some day, but Satan's spirit still is among us wreaking havoc on a daily basis. We have power over Satan in the Lord's name though. When Satan gets booted to earth, you wanna be prepared.

People were living in societies such as the Mohenjo Daro and Peking civilizations. They had many gods and goddesses. There are older manuscripts like the Vedas and the Buddhists tracts.

I think you are implying that God and Satan are inventions of the Hebrews. The question seems specious or pointed. If you believe that G-d is real, then you would believe he was always existing. If you believe he is a figment of peoples' imaginations, then there was no God and no Satan. So you have your answer and you are only asking the question for the sake of argument.

There was nothing. It was just God. Satan was an angel of God when the kingdom of Heaven was created, and then exiled for being who he is.
