Christians always tell me that Jesus loves me, regardless, but if I don't put my faith in him, I will go to hell. That doesn't strike me as a very loving gesture.
Now, I already know what you want to say and let me stop you before you do. Just because I'm an atheist, doesn't mean I'm not curious about religion so don't just say "if you don't believe, then why do you care". That will qualify as a lazy stupid answer.

If you want the truth, get yourself a New Living translation of the Holy Bible, which is written in plain modern English and read it for yourself. The answers are there.
You were born into sin, because of Adam and Eve's sin. Jesus has paid the price for your sins and if you accept Him as your Lord and Savior you will be forgiven of all your sins and God will let you live forever with Him and everything that is good. If you don't accept Jesus as your savior, on judgment day you will be held accountable and guilty of all your sins and you will be cast into hell forever separated from God and everything that is good. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
You can never be good enough on your own to make it. You can not earn your way. It is a free gift. Read the bible and find out the details, hurry you are not promised another moment. If you die with out Jesus' salvation you will be lost forever. Bummer!

if you read the bible it says God created humans.
let me ask you if you made something wouldn't you be proud of it or love it?
God is the same he loves you even though you do not love him.
However, if u do not accept Jesus(Jesus is God's one and only son, he was sent to save the world from sin JOHN 3:16 ) as your one and only savior you can not be forgiven for your sins for Jesus says I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.(John 14:6)

When we do ask Jesus to be Lord of our lives, we love Jesus much because He saves us from much. And we say we love God, because He first loved us. While we were yet in our sin.
For God so loved the World that He sent His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him will not perish, but receive everlasting life.
See? You need to trust God. Have faith in God's love, or else you won't receive God's Salvation provided for you. Jesus died on the cross for the remission of your sins too.
Jesus paid for our sins, because our sins separate us from God. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. So? We need to recognize that we have rebelled against God. We have disobeyed God. Our sins have separated us from God. Then when we receive Jesus atonement for our sins, we are born from above (born again). Whole again; body, soul & spirit.
People go to hell because they a the devils messengers. They choose to do the devils work. Steal, kill & slander, etc... So? Then they go to hell. God saw us as sinners. And while we were yet sinners, God provided a way for us to be restored to Him.

Jesus loves you enough that He died for YOU, even before you were born. Hell is total separation from God. On judgment day, you will meet God, with Jesus sitting at His right hand. Jesus will tell the Father, 'His name is written in the Book of Life', and the others He will say, 'I never knew that one'..(because 'that' one didn't give Jesus a chance to become acquainted ( fellowship))
The ones that Jesus claims, will live eternally in the Light and presence of the Lord. Those He doesn't claim, will live eternally without His presence, in darkness. Once you meet Him, you will desire to be in His presence. So that living without Him, or His fellowship forever, is, indeed cause for weeping and gnashing of teeth!

For those of us who have already met the Lord, life without Him would certainly be Hell! I wonder, 'how on earth can they get through this life without knowing God's help, guidance and comfort'. To me, it sounds impossible.
Describing the Christ-filled life to someone who has never met our Lord, or who doesn't desire to, is like describing sight, to someone who has been blind since birth. It is an indescribable experience. However, it is available to ALL who ask. ..because He loves you and would love to have fellowship with YOU.

Jesus loves all of us more than we can even grasp. But just because He loves us, it doesn't mean we aren't responsible for our choices. We are all sinners--that's just a cold hard fact. No matter how hard we try, we can't be sinless. It was passed down from Adam to every human being. God cannot be in the presence of sin, and without the shedding of blood, sin can't be forgiven. And knowing it was impossible for us not to sin, he sent Jesus to pay for our sin. All of us. He was sinless and His shed blood provided a way for our sins to be forgiven. But if we won't even acknowledge our sinful nature, and want to be forgiven, then we remain in our sin. It's very simple. But regardless whether a person accepts Jesus and what He has done for us, He will still love every single human being. He never rejects man, man rejects Him.

first god chose you before the foundation of the world was created or your none of his! you cannot believe in anything or anyone if its not in your heart! jesus is the lonley broken and humble people in the world around you ... do you love....?the 1 universal rule that matters ! hell was not created for people but for lucifer and his angels. outter darkness is reserved forthe wicked! there will be weeping,and nashing of teeth! you will see the kingdom of god but you will not enter!

He loves you very much. The only reason people go to Hell is because Heaven is reserved for those who believe and love God. They can't stay on earth beause it wont be around much longer. Hell was created to hold Satan and his followers, but people will be sent there too. I would love for you to find Christ, but not just to get out of hell. You should build a relationship with him. Let him become a part of you.

Yes He loves you. There are many people who do not believe, all their lives, and that does not mean God doesn't love them. However, there will be a consequence for you if you die still not believing in Jesus. And you already know what that is.
When people mocked Jesus as He hung on the cross, what did He say? He said, "Father, forgive them, they know not what they do". He is interceding for you, even now.
God is longsuffering, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. But ultimately, the choice is yours. Like with any choice, it will produce a consequence. If you die unrepentant, you will go to hell. It is only while you are living you have the choice to respond to God's love. After death....comes the judgment.

Many confuse God's love versus God's acceptance. God loves the whole world! But He does not, and will not, accept the whole world, because our sins condemn us without Christ.
If you have never acknowledged your sin, and put your faith in Christ, I pray that you will do so this very night! God will accept you as you accept Christ.
And my brothers and sisters in Christ, have faith! God looks on you with tremendous favor! Let His perfect love, which shines on His own Son Jesus, cast out all your fears (1 John 4:18)! You are perfectly accepted, because the perfect Christ is in you, the hope of glory!!
