what they want me to do is get a CT scan saying that a cyst and kidney stone is gone. problem is my doc gave me an ultrasound and all the results were negative meaning no cyst no stone but the navy didnt accept that. but i cant get a CT scan because insurance wont accept it because theres nothing wrong with me thats been proved. throught the ultrasound

so i was wondering if you know of anything i can do? anything i really really want to join the navy and my conditions are not serious and are gone now.

You need to get your medical documents together and request to talk to the one in charge of the recruiting station and bring it up the chain.

Try going back to the MEPPS station and see if they will waiver the CT scan based on the ultrasound. A statement from the doctor would help indicating that a CT scan is unnecessary. A waiver can be had in almost every area of entrance into the military. Other than that I cannot think of anything that could help.

if the MEPS docs say you need a CT scan, than you need a CT scan. Either pay for it out of pocket, or request an exception to policy.

the Navy gives VERY few waivers.

I would try another branch. I am an Army recruiter and I know that we do more waivers then the Navy. Its not for sure that would be able to get in, but its worth a try.

I don't think the services does the waiver. Waiver is requested by the branch of service through the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Go to your Congressman to speed up the process. Also why don't you try the other service branch and maybe they don't require what the Navy is asking you.
