LOS ANGELES - The nation’s largest Catholic archdiocese will settle its clergy sex abuse cases for at least $600 million, by far the largest payout in the church’s sexual abuse scandal, The Associated Press learned Saturday.
Attorneys for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the plaintiffs will release a statement Sunday morning and hold a news conference Monday, said Ray Boucher, the lead plaintiff’s attorney.

Even thoguh the blood of Jesus satisfied God's wrath and was sufficient to remove our sins as far as God is concerned,
it is still the will of God that the human victims be recompensed. Why are you against these victims getting restitution?

Christ paid the price for all sins for all times. However, in order to be forgiven of those sins, each person must choose to accept the gift of grace that Christ has offered to us. And, just because someone claims to be a priest is no guarantee that he/she has truly accepted Christ as Lord.

Also, even if those priests are true Christians and even if they have been forgiven in God's eyes, we -as humans- still must face the worldly consequences of our actions.

Christ's crucifixion was for our sins, each and every one of us. To receive that sacrifice we must acknowledge Him and what He did. It is for each person on a very personal level.

It had nothing to do with man's laws, punishment, reparations etc. We have those things to attempt to guard against criminal behavior and maintain law and civility in this earthly place.
